Interesting to say the least. I wonder where Mercedes got all that speed since friday. Of courseshould it rain unexpectedly we will see Mercedes doing their best Initial d impression sliding of the track. But otherwiese might we see a Mercedes win? That would be well unexpected.

And I can't watch the race tomorrow fml.

Too bad that I hate Russel's guts after last race, otherwise I could actually cheer for his first pole. Then again, it is a small consolation that he might give Mercs their first victory this season and King Louie might be stuck in the upper midfield bitching about his tyres.

For me, it would be amazing if Russell ended up winning tomorrow, and Lewis finished 5th or lower, behind both Ferraris and an angered Max. I'd love to hear the excuses they'd have for their idol then.
  • Russell winning would completely debunk that the car was not capable of a race win
  • Hamilton failing to break into the podium would be inexcusable if Max overtakes and passes for race position
  • And if they're going to argue "luck" over a race victory against the team that has proven themselves the fastest, then they can knock themselves out.

Oh don't worry it has already begun...

Lewis would have been on pole if his DRS didn't break.

Holy fuck, Russell's taking a long ass time. What the sweet flying fuck!?!

Of course. What else could be a possible explanation.

Though, I hate to do this, but kudos to Merc for turning their shitbox into a legit strong car.

The funny thing is that it is cooler then yesterday. I would have expected that Merc would have more problems with tht. Leclerc complained about they tyres and him not getting them to work. So if tomorrow is warmer I would assume that Ferrari might have the upper hand. Just like they had in Austria and France especially when it comes to tyre degredation. I for one hope for a 2nd round of battles between Alonso and Hamilton having Hamilton bitch about "dangerous driving"

The time is ripe for Mahaveer Raghunathan.
the only driver out there to make carmen jorda look competent behind the wheel
in other motorsport news- the 24 hours of spa is in its 1st hour and already a clown show due to the fact the Pierreli tire is unable to handle any use. within the last 10 minutes no less than 7 cars have suffered from rear tire failure.

This has been a problem all year in gt endurance.
Almost 2 hours before the first safety car, that's pretty good going.

lol

Also The Doctor is racing, would have thought that would be more publicised.

Well...it looks like McLaren and Liberty Media's dreams of having an American running the storied parking lots of Las Vegas is going to have to wait another year or so. Colton Herta out at Indy after running over a curb and apparently blowing up his drive train or gearbox (?)

He's had a Ferrari-tier year across the pond. Fast car screwed by every type of bad luck imaginable.

Ericsson is also not having a good race and is probably going to lose his championship lead. When you're getting passed by fucking DeFrancesco you deserve it.

Yikes, that sounds bad as the infamous NASCAR Brickyard 400 in 2008, where tires were failing left and right during that race.

That's a colossal fuckup from Pirelli. I have no clue how many tyres they usually go through in that race, but I guess 1 set/hour is a bit excessive.
Not a good ad for Pirelli tbh.
