Also they said that Merc seems to eatr their Softs even harder then RedBull or Ferrari. the only thing that goes for them is reliability. That's probably the strategy for tomorrow: Staying alive and wait till the Ferrari burn out (literally) and then the RedBull get also slower due to tyre issues or mechanical failures
I can't wait for another weekend of Hambone bumbling himself into a podium and the commentators acting like he's done something.

George Russell is the type of guy to finish over a second off pole.

Sky swallowed its bullshit fucking FAST about the Mercedes recovery narrative, which isn't surprising. Was awful to see Mick get his lap deleted, but KMAG made up for it. Overall, a quite fun Quali, but here's hoping tomorrow isn't a complete procession, I can definitely see a few solid battles from the back, with how much of a rollercoaster Q1 was.

I for one hope that the Ferrari come through. especially Carlos who did a great job for his team. Would be funny if Carlos would finish in front of the Mercs

KMag and Carlos start from the back, so we'll have them to fight through the lower ranks and midfield to look forward to.
Also hopefully Mick and Vettel. I hope Russel gets a decent start.

At the very least, there's no danger of Lewis smashing into Magnussen again.
I'd like to see a third race with double points for Haas. And I definitely want to see a Merc or two go out.

Above all else though, I want someone whose car isn't red or an energy drink advertisement to win the race. It's strange that we're now half way into the season and we haven't had an oddball winner yet.

This is literally the first clip from today's W Series Highlights:

"You don't have to get it to love it". I've never seen the cancer of DTS style fans put to succinctly before. Don't worry you don't know what an apex is, just take in the FEELS!

Well, it's kinda the same crash as with Russel and Zhou, the red car had a great start compared to the others and got squeezed.

I'd like to see reaction times, though and see them compared to F3, F2 and F1, cause it looks like these cars take forever to start off. Leclerc is at like .32s and Max has like .35s of reaction time.

The fast cuts and narration also makes it look like some really terrible tiktok-trend.

I can think of one DTS fan who is alright:
In just two years, Hy-Vee has gone from sponsoring an Indy car in the second race of a doubleheader to going “all-in” with IndyCar.
The growing supermarket chain is based in West Des Moines, Iowa and with the combined efforts of IndyCar owner Roger Penske, Hy-Vee, and Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, they have saved Iowa Speedway.
The seven-eighths mile short oval has been revived, rejuvenated, and refurbished and will host an NTT IndyCar Series doubleheader Saturday and Sunday.
The Hy-VeeDeals.com 250 presented by DoorDash, is a 250-lap race on Saturday. It will be televised on NBC at 4 p.m. Eastern Time.
Sunday is the Hy-Vee Salute to Farmers 300 presented by Google. That is a 300-lap contest on NBC beginning at 3 p.m. Eastern Time.
Edeker is the chairman and CEO of Hy-Vee and was looking for a way to expand Hy-Vee’s horizons beyond its current footprint. Two years ago, Hy-Vee was located in eight states in the Midwest.
Since then, Hy-Vee has announced plans to enter three new markets – Birmingham, Alabama, Nashville, Tennessee, and Indianapolis.
All three of those markets also host the NTT IndyCar Series.
Edeker’s interest in IndyCar started by watching Formula One. He was intrigued by the Netflix documentary, “Drive to Survive.”
According to Edeker, the year after that series began, Formula One viewership increased 70 percent. Sixty-five percent of that increase was in the coveted 18-35 year old demographic.
Guy literally sponsored a car, renovated a track, and organized a race because he like DTS and wondered if the US had racing as well.
The full article is pretty wholesome.

Also, want to know something really interesting, if alarming?

Other than Lando at Imola, no other driver outside the top three constructors has finished on the podium this season. This time last year, we'd already seen Ferraris, McLarens, Aston Martins, Alpines and AlphaTauris on the podium and even winning races.
