It is common for multiple F1 World Champions to go a bit doolally, especially when their crown shows signs of slipping. Hamilton absolutely takes the cake.
I followed Michael Schumacher from the beginning of his time in F1 to its lacklustre conclusion and bleak aftermath. Towards the end of his career, he pulled off some moves that did his reputation absolutely no favours. Despite this, I never actively disliked him. I could see the internal struggle of a very competitive man coming to terms with the sport (along with the team that he had been instrumental in building) moving-on to a different era.
Hamilton, who I liked and supported for many years, has become self-entitled, paranoid and passive aggressive. There is nothing noble about this man who, despite his claims, has, from a very young age, enjoyed a privileged ascent into the highest echelons of F1. When he moves on, I can only see him becoming more of a tiresome prima donna.
It's a shame that Raikkonen wont be around to take a shit during the inevitable pre-race tribute that will herald the retirement of the Mariah Carey of motorsport.
