Yeah it really helps to get a duo or trio to q with

I actually do have someone else to que with; that's pretty much the only reason why I really picked the game back off, frankly. Unfortunately, she's not very good as of yet; still new, still trying to pick her class. She is getting better, fortunately, and I think she's got a few heroes she likes playing. Going to be testing a few more heroes soon, see what she likes.

Also, as someone who used to be a big fan of the game several years ago; going to be a MASSIVE autist and sperg out here:

In all honesty, the current story and lore is completely ridiculous. It used to be about three factions fighting for survival in a post-apocalyptic medieval world, with a fourth faction joining in at a later time, and the story was fairly grounded with a somewhat realistic edge. I mean, yeah, there was plenty of ridiculous stuff overall - the Vikings pretty much never got good/realistic armor, the Shaolin could literally teleport, etc. - but overall, the game was fairly grounded.

Now, though, the story is now supposed to be about two factions - the cartoonishly evil Horkos and the always good and diverse Chimera - fighting over what is basically magical alchemy rocks, and there's a fifth "faction" complete with the all-female Chinese pirates, black Egyptian warriors, an all-female Muslim sect of elite warriors that have the ability to see into the future using Astrology, and the "peaceful" Aztecs. Doesn't help that the Horkos has both a character based on a Christian king that raided the Muslim Afeera, and a Conquistador that raided/plundered/colonized Aztec lands.

To be honest, it feels like a really steep twist; I mean, Ubi's fairly woke, so it's not all that surprising, but it's still fairly jarring to come back and see. Doesn't help how people who have any "offensive" names or emblems (read: anything that could potentially "trigger" some fag) are either ganked continuously, or get mass-reported and banned by the hordes of troons.

I mean, the game honestly feels like it's gone really downhill since I last played; it was never perfect, but the story felt a lot more interesting, and the gameplay and characters didn't feel completely ridiculous overall. Now, it's just so utterly ridiculous overall, that I'm having trouble getting invested like I used to.

Anyways, apologizes, the sperging rant's over. Top hats and such to the right.

I just came here to say I find it absolutely hilarious that I've had more fun playing as Ezio in this game than I have playing any of the actual Assassin's Creed games released since like the last fucking decade I think? Absolutely insane.

I know I should never give money to Ubisoft, especially modern ubisoft but classic Assassin's Creed content is like my MK Ultra activation method. I can't help myself. I shall find a way to repent for this sin some day.
