Fluffy abuse is fundamentally the same thing we do here at the farms.
Nobody gets hurt. We laugh at the misfortunes of stupid, entitled individuals who bring everything bad that happens to them upon themselves with their self-importance and narcissism. None of us actually participate, we only observe and ridicule because it's like watching a human train crash. There's a world of difference between actual animal abuse and leering at horribly drawn guro, and actually harassing people and scrolling through their social media to check out their ridiculous antic. It all boils down to schadenfreude and a raging-hard justice boner at the likes of Russel Greer when his actions backfire upon himself and he tries time and time again to present himself as a 'cool guy'.
What really ties it together, is that many lolcows put on pity-parties to improve public image. Then they develop paper-thin personas and moronic cults that prevent them from being held accountable for their actions. And fluffies in their fandom today are portrayed as selfish little rats that act like spoiled children til the day they die, wrapped up in colourful, soft fluff and a faux-cutesy lisp to decieve consoomers. The way I see it, fluffies are not only embodiments of corporate greed, but regular old narcissism. Believing that everybody should unconditionally love them, then shrinking back and weeping when they don't get what they want. They have no virtue, no capacity for self-improvement, just superficial attractiveness that is quickly torn away when the going gets tough. Just look through any thread here. Tell me, which lolcow doesn't try at the first opportunity to shift blame and make botched attempts at emotional manipulation?
