A Florida man who kept calling 911 about a roommate who “stole his weed” was asked to please top calling 911, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Department.

In a video posted to the sheriff’s department Twitter page, Sheriff’s Deputy N. Zalva said, “The guy’s calling in saying his roommate stole his weed, $20 worth and he’s upset and he keeps calling 911, so I had to give him a call and tell him to stop calling about his weed.”

The video was part of a Tweet Along held Saturday night.

Deputy Zalva did a followup video in which he said, "I called him to let him know not to call the sheriff’s office to report his drugs. He started to freak out a little on the phone, and then hung up on me shortly after.”

You can say this about Florida Man, his priorities are in place.

I refuse to post any article in this thread. Your post is weak and shows your family's weak bloodline. Your name is apt, as you will be the 216th Matthew to perish by my hands.
Now will you face me in the arena of blood and sands or will you lie there, broken, dishevelled and pitiful?

Florida man with toy rifle prompts lockdown at 3 colleges

October 6, 2019 at 9:58 PM CDT - Updated October 6 at 10:04 PM

DAVIE, Fla. (AP) — Police say reports of a man with a gun led to the lockdown of three college campuses in South Florida before officers determined that it was nothing more than a toy.

Davie police tweeted a picture of the yellow, orange and green plastic rifle early Friday, hours after the campuses of Florida Atlantic University, Nova Southeastern College and Broward College were placed on lockdown.

Lt. Mark Leone says a student had told officers she saw a man with a gun on FAU’s campus at 9:26 p.m. About a half-hour later, Florida Atlantic officials tweeted that a man with a rifle was sighted near the baseball field.
Police converged on the area west of Fort Lauderdale and found the man with the toy. FAU then issued an all-clear message.

Short however, so I also give you this.

So how was this one a screw up?

This is the third time that you've tried to make a Florida News Megathread and every time that you make one, the only thing that you do is dig up a single story and format the entire thread improperly. If you genuinely--for some reason-- feel obligated to actually make a meaningful Florida News Megathread, please format the thread properly according to how it was outlined in the State of the Board thread, and include multiple, meaningful examples of these stories.

Start it off with the "Best of Florida News" instead of these randomly-selected stories, because as it stands your OP has little more effort being put into it than just copy-and-pasting a single article, tacking on a single sentence, and just trying to forcibly create a megathread by putting that in the title.

It also wouldn't hurt to try and explore why Florida news is so strange: For example, the Sunshine Laws. Florida has the strongest public records laws in the entire United States. It's so easy for journalists to get their hands on police incident records that they can virtually access them in real-time. As soon as the report is filed by law enforcement, it can be accessed by the public. That, combined with the fact that Florida also has an incredibly high percentage of drug addicts and ex-felons is the reason that so many stories seem to come from the state.
