LET'S TALK DRAGONS

How did you choose your flight? Have you written extensive lore for your clan? What's your favorite breed? Your favorite coliseum venue? Show off your lair! I wanna know everything :)

I'm from Fire, but I'm in Earth Water right now and will probably be somewhere else by Halloween. The idea is that my clan leader is going through a midlife crisis and is dragging everyone along on a journey to "find herself."

If you're looking for a fun little time-waster, this is it! Breed your own dragons, dress 'em up, and send them into battle for glory and treasure!

I'm in Lightning! I picked it because it fit ~muh aesthetic~ the best, I guess, but I'm pretty happy with my choice. There doesn't seem to be as much stupidity on the Lightning forums anyway.

I kind of keep to myself on the site but I do go on for dailies and try to get all the festival stuff every month (+hoard a couple of the familiars to sell when the price skyrockets). I kind of passively participate in dom pushes by exalting a couple things when I know we're doing one. Next month will be the first Thundercrack Carnivale I'll (technically) have been around for so that's something. :P

I like Faes a lot but I wish the female Fae pose weren't so annoyingly hard to customize well. I like Ridgebacks too.

I haven't really written anything about my dragons, but I've tried to think of a good way to explain away the fact that I exalted my progenitors because they were ugly. :|

Gosh, your dragons are gorgeous. :o How do you pick their names?

Lightning looks like such a cool flight. I might just skip Water for it when I move house . . .
 
I actually just got access to my account again after a year of being locked out (forgot pw, forgot email's pw, email was tied to an old number, etc) and I'm pretty happy about it.

I picked Ice because white eyes go with everything and I like snow and shit. I've never been on the forums, so I don't know how retarded that flight is. I'm afraid to look. I've heard bad things about certain ones.

Anyway, here is my clan. They are half starved because I guess when I got locked out I had no money or food. Whoops.

Same. I bought pretty new dragons and exalted my progenitors as soon as I could.

Thanks! :) My dragons are usually just named whatever comes into my head that seems to suit them. Nori was named because I thought he looked like seaweed, Bengal has tiger stripes, the ones with human names were usually just "eh you look like a ____", and so on. Some sit around unnamed for weeks until I happen to think of something (like that female imperial and male ridgeback I have right now).

Haha, kind of the same here - I made my account in like April 2014 and then forgot I had it for a year.
 
Flight Rising, you say? I've been playing for two years and still having a great time. It's about the only pet site I play consistently. Past year or so I've been doing a lot of stuff for dominance, which yeah I know it's a small thing, but it's fun and you get a lot of cash monies doing it.

I have far too many dagrons. I purge pretty frequently though with only a core of permanent dragons. I've been in Shadow since I joined and haven't really wanted to move. I've toyed with the idea of trying Arcane for a while (batshit as the community there is I love the lore) but haven't wanted to commit to the idea. I love all the dragons, but Pearlcatchers, Coatls, and Nocturnes are my favorites (also Fae).

Yeah, pretty much! It isn't quite as...hardcore, though. You breed dragons for cool colors and genes, dress 'em up, battle with them Pokemon-style, and then compete with other users to essentially sacrifice the most babies to your chosen god. Fun times!

I've been trying to get all of the unhatched egg achievements (I just sell the eggs lol) and this one in particular took a good 3 weeks of using all my gathering turns on scavenging. I'll probably have to rebuild my food stores before I start on another egg.

edit: didn't realize the screencap was so fucking huge on the desktop site lol

It's a limited thing from last years "Riot of Rot" which just sounds like a hoot and I'm willing to sell it dirt cheap
 
Did you try selling it on the auction house? They're currently going for ~33k treasure and ~48 gems there. Not as good as some of the other bears but more than most familiars.

If you don't want to sell it (and if no one here is interested) I'd probably just keep it, it's one of the cooler looking bears.

Yeah dude, I tried selling it 3 times lower than that and no one took it
I'm probably going to give it to my friend once he joins soon
 
I want to join because I've been following Neondragon's art for years. I learned a lot of digital painting tricks from her, but her website's gone dormant. I'm assuming she's putting all of her time into Flight Rising now.

Unfortunately user registration has been down for a while. I just want to see what one of my art mentors is doing. (:_(
