Madeuce is probably so invested in this because Thomas became obsessed with him for a whole month, called him his most negative and obsessive kf poster, and insisted that he must be one of his twitter trolls, a troll who I think Thomas faildoxed a few times. Plus, he is one of the few people who has been following this saga since the very beginning, many moons ago, so it must be frustrating for him to see the tourists come here and share their severely uninformed takes.

I don't think ironic pedophiles exist, so when I see people like Thomas or his many friends building a brand out of being ironic pedophiles, I just see it as them being interested in normalizing it.

I've been closely following since march because I was a fan of flesh's and when he first crashed out over people replying to him with spongebob gifs I thought it was pretty funny. When he then accused the people posting the gifs of conspiracy because nothing organic every happens directed at him, and they were all being followed on xitter by a meme page that follows everyone who follows them back, I saw the cracks forming around my "image" of flesh. When he started threatening to dox people who were trolling him on twitter I got extra interested, threatening to report some guy for posting memes about iran to his military unit's command was the straw thar broke the camels back.

Flesh is kinda like if mamamax and piratesoftware had a fetal alcohol syndrome baby. Every time I have moved on I see some new retarded thing he's done on twitter and I can't look away from the trainwreck that is his career as an internet microcelebrity

Not that it matters all that much anymore, he's completely broke, fucked for monetization and doesn't have a checkmark on twitter anymore. If there's anything that would make me happy it's him getting a real job

You can pretty much trace all the parts of the "weird" internet back to the SomethingAwful forums, for better or worse.

IRC is another place where these that's less visible, the subcultures that grew out of there affected large portions of the "hacker scene" as it moved from BBSes and meatspace to online.
