With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

They have retarded, unrealistic ambitions and keep trying to branch out of Fishtank despite it being their only popular product.

Previous stupid shit they've done:
-Previous Fishtank videogames that peaked at a couple dozen concurrent players
-Tried to turn the Season 2 house into an AirBnB, it was ridiculously expensive and I don't think they got a single customer before shutting it down
-Tried to edit the show into 10 30-minute episodes in an attempt to sell them to a network
-Are currently streaming themselves gaming which can be funny when trolling people but aside from that is slop and not something worth buying a season pass for

By now I assume they see the paying audience as a bunch of idiots who will pay for anything. I get it, a lot of people pay to keep chatting on the site and will consume anything the wiggers produce. Jet doesn't seem to understand that the idiot demographic is already captured, how do you convince someone outside of that demographic that this game is worth buying or stuff like the Miami trip is worth paying for?
The only reason anyone buys the game is going to be to make fun of it.

They don't offer anything you can't get elsewhere when Fishtank isn't live.

All he has to do is get Onlyusemeblade and it will all work out.

I think Jet simply saw Sam making/talking about his dream game project over the years and did the same
I will give this to Jet: he's shown more evidence of a game existing than what we've ever seen re: Joyride.

It'll flop completely though, another Rust/BR shooter in a diluted pool of options. Even if he somehow captures a player base it'll fall apart due to hackers and griefers I'm sure they'll be woefully underprepared for.

Its way too ambitious for what little experience the wigger's friends have with game development. @Great Sun Jester had a lot of concept art and basic things made during Bloodgames that would have translated nicely to a simple JRPG style game. Honestly at this point the window of interest is lost, Bloodgames was 2 years ago and the game will release almost certainly next year.

About the Bloodgames FPS they have been working on.

FHUB on X Jet demoed the Bloodgames Looter Shooter FPS.mp4
X Discussing anti-cheat detecting discord.exe. Dismisses people using Discord in a browser as a simple workaround.

FHUB on X The state of the long awaited Vampire Bloodgames Looter Shooter.mp4
X A look at the game

FHUB on X Can t wait for this game in 5 years so hyped.X.mp4
X It stands out to me that props being uniform would even be worth talking about, a bit alarming. Jet is not the dev though.

I can't say I expected anything about this to be good. Just looks like nothing so far though.

How long have they been working on this? Like, a day? Those devs are fleecing him if they claim to be working on this game, this is something one person with limited experience can whip up in a couple of lazy hours.

Powerlevel but as someone who does game dev, a year out is a very, very generous projection based on the current state of the game. Any indie dev knows making a game is a monumental task, let alone a multiplayer shooter. Jet is also clearly being scammed. I don't know if he is paying a real team of 6 indie developers or if he just has 6 indians from fiverr working on this project, but in a year of development time the game should be in a much better state. Inventory systems are difficult, but otherwise only having a few building assets with broken lighting and two weapons with unfinished and broken animations (revolver is unfinished, lever action gun you can clearly see the shoulder during the charge animation) and a terrain system is not what you'd expect from 6 developers working full or part time for a year, even if it's fiverr indians.

Quite possible though that he hired some real devs and felt too good to use a pre-existing engine and had them create their own. That would make the state of the build Jet was messing around in make more sense, but the game is at least 3-4 years out assuming the same pace of development. I really wonder what Jet was thinking with this one, did he just see Sam's life mission of making a video game and decide that was his mission too now? Very odd. One thing is for certain, Jet has finally come across something that will 100% bring him to his knees. Game development is incredibly difficult, time consuming, and expensive depending on the project, and making low poly Hunt: Showdown is no small feat. I would be shocked if isn't eventually cancelled.

Thanks a lot, I had a small game in mind. But every dev who was into fishtank I got into contact fumbled sooner or later. (Not their fault, I should learn how to code)
I had a very simple grid system and very low number stats in mind.

They'd be smart to start off with a much smaller scope project to test the waters. Like a short 30-minute experience where you play as the Duke or Xavier in a prequel, that sets up a potential full-scale project with a cliffhanger. Something like an itch.io game would be a great proof of concept and get people hyped and would take around a month for seasoned developers. For workhouse devs they could do it as a game jam and have it pretty polished in a no-sleep weekend.

As it stands, he must be hiring people on Fiverr, or the devs he did hire are essentially lining their pockets to do 5 minutes of work a day.
Another possibility, maybe he didn't show off much of what they really have to avoid spoiling it all?

So many ideas immediately fly into my head lol
  • The Duke attacking in diagonal lines on the motorcycle randomly throughout the game
  • Xavier polymorphing into a computer science major causing an enrage effect on Tayleigh
  • Jimmy's flame nuke as a special attack
  • Tai briefly having early game advantage with a gun that explodes enemies into gibs
  • Letty dueling Creature to the death in the tower with lightning and shit while your health slowly drains
  • Wild Randy impossible mini boss (counters every attack with a grapple stun effect)
  • Objective: Survive for Vance's final fight with a kill counter
  • Killing Jon is optional but he debuffs your whole party if left alive, which gets worse and worse until you have little choice
  • Vampire Jon is weakened by sneaking into his lair and replacing his black makeup with purple before the final fight

To add to what everyone already said, given the high probability of Jet hiring either a) pajeets or b) retarded neets connected to the basement chat, the game will be an unplayable unoptimized mess, so even less people will play. Also, Rust (in my opinion) sucks and I don't see the demographic for it + fishtank being tied up for a game. Hardware also got really expensive nowadays, so there is that on top, I've seen a billion times in the site chat people complaining that their notebook sucks, that watching on phone sucks and so on.
In my opinion it will be another humbling colon destruction for Jet, and he won't learn shit from it. He will just say WAAAH PEOPLE ARE FAGGOTS and carry on to the next retarded idea.

Also, even a simple life sim would be better than a shooter. Do a 2D thing with multiple floors and let players control the house itself, sim city style, and the fish are just in it, reacting a la tamagotchi. Give occasional updates with fun stuff and new characters and voilá, infinite game value for the fans he hates so much.

>he could've just commissioned some autistic to make a high effort l4d2 campaign mod and we'd probably have like 99 blood games and assorted fishtank/mde mods rn

Jet is never going to make anything other than an openworldsurvivalcrafting or battle royale/extraction FPS since those are the only games he plays.
Problem is you can't really half ass those genres, they're too big in scope. He SHOULD be making 4 niggas in a row rpgs or simple tactics games but he's too 2000's Xbox Live-brained to want to do that.

Considering he thinks reading and hobbies are gay, I'm sure that he'd think anything other than a FPS/battle royale would be gay as well. He needs to stop thinking BIG BIG BIG and think in terms of scale. A small RPG or Fallout: Shelter styled game would be way more attainable. There's a reason why these large-scale indie FPS games end up in development hell for years and years if (which is a huge if) they even get finished. I hope he does succeed, only because I don't want another penny-pinched season of the actual show.

I get why he wants to make a game, but funneling most (or all, since they make the worst decisions possible) of your cash into this game is retarded... especially when they don't even have a S6 location. He needs to stop fucking around and focus (mentally and financially) on the thing that's basically guaranteed to make him money: the fucking show.

Then again, maybe he needs the game to fail to wake the fuck up.
