With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

If we're talking early 2020's scuffed IRL livestreaming, I'd say that Speedy was the absolute GOAT. This agent of insanity, dope and chaos was doing IRL with the most absurd content imaginable - Speedy eating shit out of a dumpster, fucking fat bitches, doing porn with Jewel and Atilla.

Stuff like this was primarily on Bitwave, a janky garage streaming site.

It's fun seeing people understand BingoBongo more now that they stream.

Bingo was always a deadpan witty killer. She just didn't yell it out over the chaos so most of her jokes were blink and you'll miss it.

Additionally Bingo's more lively on their streams now that she's back on Adderall. They mentioned on their first stream that before she started taking it at 19 she was near mute and only spoke to Bongo.

It was an incredibly strange and disconcerting thing when they revealed during the run that they took her off of her meds. Like when you're putting people in a situation like this, where they are in an artificial environment for a show or something, generally what you would do is have someone from production make sure they are providing the medications to them on their prescribed schedule. You don't just expect people to get off their meds cold turkey because they're in your wacky funhouse.

They were a last minute replacement for the jeet so that's why Bingo didn't have enough of a supply for the whole show. It's a controlled substance so they weren't able to get any more from back home although Bingo was going to the basement to get some other stim, don't know how long it lasted but it was while Laura was on the show and iirc she was also taking it.

I may have made this comparison before but Bingo and Bongo were called the Josie of the season when they really were more like Shinji. A novelty idea by production that developed into a fan favorite due to having fun, but ultimately got gimped because production didn't plan out their gimmick past "haha Japanese guy who barely speaks English/Twins who act as one person"

I can understand the drugs being harder to get. But it makes them being hard on Bingo at the end even weirder to me. Water under the bridge and all but, still annoying in hindsight.
