With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Just got off the phone with Bashir. I told him all about the Meiwaku situation and he said he wasn't interested in meeting her but that he will be praying for her.

Agree. A good cast has a lot of different personalities with fun/interesting dynamics. A cast of 10 Alex B/Freddy types would get really old really fast

You need players who can at least get into the spirit of the thing even if they don't want to go full in character wizard robes at the table RP. In a TT campaign Alex for sure is a That Guy (as John was) and Freddy may be as well.

Alex B and Burt would both be terrible players, they'd ruin any game they're in.

You want fish that are more social like Tayleigh or Bash. People who can stay with the program and understand it is a shared narrative. Alex B would scream the whole time, it would be funny for like 15mins and the game would go nowhere while he's there. Burt would be pervy the whole time and ruin everyone else's time. He'd be trying to fuck everything and it would get old.

You want fish who can handle the spotlight in a variety of contexts while sharing with others.

Freddy might be technically possible but overall not that fun, ironically Direnc would probably both be a blast and have a blast playing. her being in a different country doesn't matter if it's on a livestream/zoom thingy (in person would be hard since everyone lives far away even within the US)

I know we'd all hate it here, but realistically Binx would be a good fish for something like this. She already knows some of the game, she'd be the Laura Bailey of the table.

If we are being completely real though Burt the person would do incredibly well in DND considering he is hyper aware that his time on FT is telling a shared narrative.
But I doubt he will break character to play DND because the cat is kind of out of the bag at that point

I think Burt would bring too much push compared to others, he wouldn't be able to temper it back enough to stop 'yes and'ing' everything.
And yeah, if he was trying to do creepy sex stuff it would ruin the game.
D&D isn't fishtank, you're not competing against the other party members you're working together and I'm just not sure Burt can do that part well.

If there is a remotely attractive man at the table, Burt would become completely useless and distracted. He’s a bigger simp than Mei

Idk, I think one of Burt's strengths as a fish/freeloader is that he knows when he isn't the main character, every other fish/freeloader had to basically be told to shut up during the fishbowl

maybe I can't tell when Burt is acting or not, maybe I just despise Burt and think he's disgusting, but I wouldn't watch if Burt was a PC on it.

also cross-talk is part of livestream games, you want some to make it feel alive, just needs to be quiet. Ultimately a D&D stream would want fish that don't have big personalities to them (Bash being the exception) but you'd still want fish who have some personality to them.

It's not like she had to announce to anyone but Bashir privately who she is, but her coochie was so in control she had to immediately announce who she was to try and gain his attention.
