With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Are you all just ship/shitposting or is the autism from the tank becoming contagious? Vimp has a boyfriend. Having been paired up by production during the siege period doesn’t mean anything :story:.

There has been zero evidence at all of vimp having any sort of attraction or real connection with Bashir. She’s an E-girl alt goth musician with a bf. Her entire lifestyle, interests is in complete opposition to Bashir's ultra conservative Islamic norms and values.

Vimp told Letty she doesn't have a boyfriend, she just said that when she was introducing herself to the fish. Also, she said she's not attracted to Bashir and finds him whiny, and wanted to pair with the Twins but they were taken.

It’s infinitely less common, than the opposite and it rarely applies when it’s extreme. It would be like AOC marrying Ben Shapiro. Much more importantly there has been no flirting, and absolutely zero signs of any mutual attraction which is why I found it funny when there was so little common ground to begin with.

It’s like seeing someone living in a dorm or other dorm of limited group setting/ having a friend of the opposite gender and then shipping them because they’ve spent a tiny amount of time together. It strikes me as funny and autistic.

The order to not go into the Goo Room is 100% a bit.
I'm pretty sure they're expecting someone to eventually sneak inside, and with these fish, they seem canny enough to know it's a bit and won't need too much direct prodding.
The issue is if production has finally learned not to overscript these damn bits so that when it doesn't go exactly to the form and timing they want, they adapt and improvise rather than give up and sulk.

It would be extremely funny if he just sat there alone making goo for the remainder of the season and did not interact with any of the fish.
 
Burts mission: GOO

Mints told Burt he had to make 1000 12 ounce portions of GOO to fulfill his mission.
Mints told him that during testing they found one batch of GOO made 12 portions. So about 80 batches.
He was told he was not to leave the room or he would be eliminated. The fish were told not to enter, or they would be eliminated. Ben told them its the same as the front door.
Burt has a bathroom and drinks and food in the room.
I think they are probably only going to keep him isolated until somepoint tomorrow, just long enough for Burt to go a little crazy.

My hope is they keep him in there and subject him to TTS until he leaves the room and self eliminates. The funniest possible outcome would be if Jet and Ben never even interact with him once.
Season 5 should end with everyone leaving the house, and the cameras just cut to Burt alone in the room, still making goo. The lights shut off, and the stream ends after a few minutes.
