With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

I hope not. Schultz is neither funny nor entertaining in any way, shape, or form. I'd much rather have Ben present it if it's going to be a wigger/wigger-adjacent person.

Although, that being said, perhaps the robot bit they were teasing on stream (assuming they're telling the truth - lol) is Schultz's dogshit robot standup routine.

I predict they will rotate hosts. I can see a few days at a time of someone like Ricky or Bam being allowed to go apeshit on the contestants.

I don't think anyone can really replace Sam, for more than just the front of house stuff. There were a few times during the last season that Sam went in and had to get the crew/Jet to stop certain things like the shock collar; Sam is a sadist but he is also smart enough to realize how badly something would fuck them up for insurance and liability. I don't think the last season would have survived past week 1/2 without Sam physically being there and humbling Jet.
 
Why exactly do they think doing public casting (basically) as well as the way they've announced that Hyde won't be the host this season on top of everything else is going to inspire any confidence?
They said they were going to take the chance to do everything properly from the ground up, but this looks and feels exactly how it has always been, which is a total shitshow.

Maybe... but this really doesn't feel like they fully know what direction it is going in. Would be better to just work silently at this point.

I expected Jimmy to still hold a grudge on Abi for getting him eliminated and relish the idea that she's poor and had to whore herself, but he subverted the expectation.
Good for him for having empathy.

This one threw me off and it made me think Sam browbeat Jet with the idea until he conceded. Jet used to hate the AF/Sektur sphere, to the point that he'd been coaching contestants since S1 NOT to interact with anyone in AF or Ralph and co.

Who has the time to go on a potentially six week long reality show where it's not guaranteed you will actually get any prize money, and any you do win can be taken away at any time via arbitrary rule changes/selective non-enforcement? People who have nothing going on in their lives, and they're not typically holding themselves to the highest grooming or hygiene standards.
 
There’s an antifa leader guy out there that looks vaguely like Ben. Additionally, the guy who was shot yesterday also looks vaguely like Ben.

In any case, the X account that leaked the Minnesota anti-ICE signal chat (@0hour1) fell for a doctored photo of Ben and is reposting it as if it’s a pic of the guy who was shot yesterday.
