i think during fishtank s3 he was abusing stimulants like a madman, probably thought he needed to be fuckin' geeked to win the game show
also trying to hide his past as s GED/SAT scammer or whatever that was about, so the psychosis was real until about the third week - then he started playing it up because he realized the audience liked it. by the time Gold Burt or Truman Show Ending was happening he was hamming it up for the cameras 100% - I think it fully clicked for him when he met Xavier.

the stuff was just too real in the first bits where he didn't know the show was live and was trying to feed Alex B drugs and fuck him, sniffing people's shoes, and beating off on camera. he's a real bonafide degenerate faggot but he's a faggot that's pretending to be in constant psychosis now.

Jim O'hara ran an unethical (possibly illegal) service helping people cheat, but the amount and content of the reviews he had made it clear that he was generally delivering what was promised. There was one (maybe more but one that posted a ton) disgruntled customer. I don't recall the details, but Burt responded to his comments and gave his side of the story. My reading was that it sounded very plausible. The customer screwed something up somehow and was getting to be a bit of a Karen.

Of course, it could be that Burt really did screw that guy over, but it's clear the whole business was not a scam. Obviously a service like that will see customers trying to pull one off on those providing the service (and the other way around), but it seems like Burt was generally a legit professional cheater.

Burt has repeatedly said that that's impossible because it's not how his technology worked. It gets brought up a lot on his stream. Apparently, he wasn't taking the test on their behalf from his own laptop. I have no idea how true that is but I've never seen those videos if they exist. And the version of events I remember is that a student didn't want to pay him (maybe because Burt got a bad score on his exam), so Burt harassed him over text for a long period of time "to set an example for anyone else" who might try to do the same. I think he told the kid to kill himself

Seth is the most nothing person that has ever been on fishtank.

He was such a non factor that they made him pretend to be someone interesting for 2 days and the only thing you can say is that he was surprisingly good at it.

Even the most forgettable fish of all time like Meg or Ted had some personality to them. Like Meg had roblox and that boyfriend who groomed her and Ted was a gay skateboarder or whatever. Seth has nothing. His whole life is just fishtank and online fishtank friends, even before he was ever on the show. His social media is straight up depressing.

i like to revisit my verdict of the seasons ( mostly the main ones, there have been so many low effort "spin offs" that i gave up even paying attention to them at all after S3) now and then , to compensante for recency bias, right now i would say:
S1: surprisingly great cast with 2 great fish (jon and letty) but terrible production, it was clearly a public beta test, and i would rate the season as a whole 5/10 , people tend to give it higher rating due to nostalgia and because it was the first one but it had a lot of really boring stretches, in hindsight

S2: the hardest season to rate, the only thing i can agree on is that the cast fucking sucked, the only standout fish (as annoying as they were) were jimmy and cole, and neither survived to the end of the season, besides that it had unbelievable aesthetics and made for some of the most surreal fishtank screenshots yet, it was also pure and complete chaos both good and bad, some of the highest highs of the show but also some of the lowest lows (everything after jimmy left was basically unwatchable unless you are a machosist) , also i would say in some ways they went a bit too far with this season (really, bathroom cams? what the fuck? also the fish basically starving near the end). complete fever dream, nearly 2 years later its still hard to believe this really happened. 6/10-ish

bloodgames: Arguably the first thing production really put a lot of effort into, it was still a massive mess and not exactly my kind of thing but i have to admit it led to some hilarious moments , didn't really watch it though cause i was busy at the time. 6.5/10

S3: So far , objectively, the best fishtank season, great cast with 2 absolutely insane fish (alex and burt), equally good (and surprisingly underrated) freeloaders (jeff and the closeted gay muscle guy who pissed in people's beds) , really interesting house that they will probally will never use again , excellent production effort until FH2.0, basically interesting content every day. sadly they completely blew it up by having the absurdly retarded idea to invite Brandon in, and then basically nuked the show after they got evicted. i have to admit that the ending (not the vegas arc itself, but the actual ending) was fucking kino and easily the funniest one yet too. 8/10

S4: Where do i even start? this was absolutely dogshit, and no, i am not talking about the premature ending, even before the law trouble started the season was already a disaster. a terribly mid cast , with only 1 standout (freddy, who was basically a mild and more nontent version of alex) , low budget everything specially when compared to everything after S1, the lowest effort production yet, maybe even more so than S1. you known a season is bad when the closest people got to calling it a good season was when "celebrity" cameos happened , lmao. this season had neither content producers nor "players" just boring halfway autistic people, an unfunny "lol"cow (Rachel), blatant simp bait (angelina) and i kid you not, a fucking jailbait 18 year old for jet to lust over (ellie) yikes. The 2 decent fish (Dirench and Freddy) had no chance of saving it and neither had the freeloaders production would have tried to insert in if police hadn't mercifully killed the season early. 2/10

In all honesty the show is not extreme enough. Its not mainstream so nothing average matters (this show is even below average for entertainment) and its not extreme enough to get enough internet pull for most neats to watch. This experimental TV is so obscure that if dont go beyond the extreme this show will die.. Lets be honest, Sam is nowhere near Kenny VS Spenny in terms of pull.

They will have to go above and beyond or they will not have a legacy at all. Sam, you will be childless, broke and your wikipedia page will read that you were a weirdo who did nothing to influence culture other than being a meme for mass shootings.
