With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

    Votes: 57 7.3%
  • 2 Stars — Pretty bad. Some funny moments, dragged, too many vibe repair days. Barely worth checking.

    Votes: 91 11.7%
  • 3 Stars — Average. Solid entertainment in spots, some good chaos and crashouts, but nothing special

    Votes: 176 22.7%
  • 4 Stars — Really good. Lots of hilarious moments, strong fish personalities, solid content and vibes

    Votes: 406 52.3%
  • 5 Stars — Peak Fishtank / Masterpiece. Non-stop insanity, legendary fish and production, pure chaos

    Votes: 47 6.0%

The one problem I see with this is say they announce Alex is unable to be voted out because of how awesome he is doing, by the next day you will have 5 people doing poor imitations of him to try and win the audience…. Actually that sounds pretty funny too so nevermind
I get not everyone can be a main character but they should at least be entertaining, most of them tend not to be unless pushed to do so like What the fuck did Binx do outside of challenges besides defend a peod and get finger banged by a attack on titan looking chingchong?

If it's not a direct elimination challenge but performance based they could just not tell anyone about the immunity I guess but yes this would be an issue.

Imagine one of the spergs with bad hygiene forced to cook for everyone and not only giving everyone gross burned food but nearly starting a fire in the process because they’ve never done more than microwave meals
Yeah that’s exactly what I was going for lmao. Remember in Season 1 when they put an entire pizza box in the oven and production had to save them.?

Guess going for a mixed cast? that probably would be for the best but also set a rule for ones who know not to talk about previous seasons.
There really should be a rule to not talk about previous seasons. It's not just cringe, it breaks the illusion - if they're constantly going on about the prior seasons, then I can't make myself believe that they are earnestly counting rice believing that production knows the actual amount in each bag. I don't want to constantly be reminded that they're in on the joke.

I think 15 contestants is great - need a bunch extra to make up for the attrition that happens in the first few weeks. S2 and S3 had like 5 real eliminations between them due to attrition and people getting kicked off.

Mixed cast is obviously the right move. You aren't going to find a Freddy in the FishTank superfan applications.

I'm ambivalent about this. I'd rather have them be as 'real' as possible, and that includes using knowledge of previous seasons.
What I would really like is production using the fact that they know about the previous seasons to fuck with them: get them all pumped up to count rice and do the epic Fishtank meme, then put them in a room where they are knee-deep in rice grains.

You find a Jimmy though. Freddy was a open application and got told to do it by a friend or someone who knew about the show.
More accuratly you arent going to find a Burt or Alex who are fame chasing retards but not the internet degenerate fam chasing retards.

Letty knew, at least she knew Sam from the Iddubz video, she of course watched more and did great on the Sam Hyde Quiz.
The only people that didn't knew were Simmons, Mauro, Josie (Who supposedly knew some of Jet's stuff) and Jon (But since Jon came into the house late, he saw a lot of the stuff on social media, even spoiling that there would be TTS later on.)
Letty probably knew Sam from being a redscare girl as well. She was very chronically online and there would have been a good chance that she was knowledgeable about his history/MDE. Idk. Prior to their Thiel-bucks red scare specifically, but dirtbag left stuff in general, meant being online as much as any chud while obsessing over chuds. I think this being her background gets brushed over a lot out of virtue of the average MDE fan not listening to a podcast for girls & gays even if it’s completely redpilled now

I think they should still bring on Asmongold for S5 as a freeloader. For failing a challenge, the losing fish gets to have him for a roommate for a week.

Tai probably was the best freeloader and returning guest on Fishtank like ever.
The day he was having the drunken meltdown in B4 thinking he got canceled was the funniest fucking live experience I had during S1. Plus he's just funny, was greatly needed in S2 and delivered. He also bounced so well off of Sam during Blood Games, some highlight moments involve him.

He was great in Bloodgames and thrived in the chaos. We need gunslinger Tai for another LARP season with his OP airsoft revolver.
