yeah, this is what i was referring to. but i think when you realize how deranged his father is it makes that much more sense why he'd try to emulate Sam as well. hes idolized him for a long time and, as gay as it sounds, views him as what a man should be. so if he wants to be an alpha chad to get back at his dad or whatever, be passive aggressive and dismissive to your core fans, and fuck your teenaged girl fans, just like Sam does.

i mean, thats really not far off from what im saying. i agree with him engaging with the group's culture, but he had to idolize that group (and Sam, the head of it) to think its cool to engage with in the first place.

Jet was a r9k using foster care outcast with no father figure growing up, then he ends up getting picked up by Sam Hyde in his 20s, a comedian he had idolized and been looking up to for years. he even made a post on r9k about how it was his dream to work with him one day. so it only makes sense that once that dream came true and he was part of Sam's circle, he'd engage in similar behaviors to them to fit in. im pretty sure he even made some posts as hack_blastard about how he thought the Marky allegations were true but he didnt care about them and thought it was based or some shit. he looked up to Sam so much that he could do no wrong. so, once he got his own MDE fangirls and the opportunity to do the same, he jumped on it, likely at the expense of the show that even brought him any success.

What's funny is Eggy would unironically be better at running the show than Jet like money back guarantee since he knows people with usefull skills and knowledge about running a reality show. Mumkey has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of Big Brother and Survivor. Hans and Lowres know the technical shit of filming and editing and probably getting fuckin permits. Rusty Cage does good art and knows how to make props and music. Hell the only reason Luke even found out about Fishtank is because Mumkey and Lowres talked to him about it. Personally, I dont see anything wrong with fucking thots, or 18 year olds, or whatever else they are doing, I also dont think its wrong for you to use your internet clout (as little as it may be) to bed women. My problem is I really like FishTank, and it was ran horribly. I would never like the crew fucking the cast, but if the show that was presented ran well, I wouldnt really care. But it was never ran well. It limped out of the gates and only got more dire as time went on. The concept was so strong that it was mostly still enjoyable. So to see this thing I like, ran like dog shit AND hear the crew is mostly just casting and fucking the cast, then I dont like it.

The other thing that cant be separated is the fact that Jet, Sam, and the rest of the wiggers are mostly repulsive burnouts. With S3 and any nonfan you could see how the woman who werent MDE fanboys treated Jet, like he was a child. Even when told he was the boss, they still treated him like an after thought. The guy has zero game, and the show seems to be the only way he could pull women.

Not to mention that Sam has been pushing this internet father shit for years now, and looks at his closest associates. They are lazy, degenerate, drug addicts. If all of your closest friends and associates are lazy, degenerate drug addicts, then you are likely one too.

What Im curious about now is how does Sam and crew move forward? Fishtank was the only consistently successful thing he has put out since the Adult Swim era. I'm amazed how long it took them to push out edited episodes but then again with the weird cadence of fishtank and also the weird audience it's not like anyone gives a shit so long as they're done at some point.

The truth is that MDE doesn't make any money and most of the funding and Sam Hyde's sick ass car and shit like that just came from timely investments into crypto.

Fishtank as a concept wouldn't even exist if they didn't cut corners like fuck and there is no reality where some massive investor gives them 5 or 10 million to fuck around with. They got a bit of money to do another season and I think Jeet knows there was already unlikely to be another season: they didn't solve the inherent permission problems with the show because they would've had to go elsewhere and spend a ton and the show hasn't made enough money. On top of that they fucked over their main cashcows like Burt who is now talking mad shit about them.

Sam Hyde is stuck with like 14 properties that aren't even selling but will likely sell one day. The 2nd season of MDE was "okish" and took months and months of editing for just a few funny moments - edgy comedy shit is everywhere now and Sam Hyde no longer has a monopoly on it since everyone Twitter can write heil Hitler and whatever else with impunity.

Sam Hyde's serious videos about politics and shit get okish views but probably nowhere near enough to bring in money for the 5-6 people working on them. He'd have to make it into a podcast for that to work or get mainstream sponsors (which he won't get).

I never watched the original MDE stuff until relatively recently and people were seriously hyped up for Sam Hyde and MDE and it's kind of hard to tell why because his stuff was only successful in a certain era that has long finished. It's funny stuff but you need new khantent and new shit.

Given the production cost and scale of costs/staff and everything you'd want to be dramatically increasing the income of it for it to be making tons but I think it's not making enough. I really doubt we'll see another season because of the 200 fishtank clones/sister projects killing excitement/viewership and how much effort it takes to follow a ship like this.
