  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

What's the point in even fighting it at this point? That would only make sense if a successful appeal means no more fines and charges get dropped, but IDK how that works.

They should've cut their losses and stopped working with that shady ass Chinese money launderer.

It's important to note the guy being charged wasn't production, it's some chink who's family is involved in a loooooooot of shady shit, like taking a trampoline park franchise from their tenants.

I know a little bit about his history and how he employed illegals at one of his businesses. How did Sam even meet this guy and make a deal with him? And why did he think it's a good idea.

Sam's hubris is getting worse by the year and I'm worried it'll all come crashing down.

Cowboy knew him, and it was as simple as the guy let them use his house in exchange for a wad of cash no questions asked. It was easy and fast and involved just spending a bunch of money, which is exactly the way Sam likes it.

For a small outfit with limited resources to get a production like Fishtank off the ground you probably have to hustle and play a little dirty, and clearly this guy was pretty instrumental to that end. But as Sam kind of touched on during the S4 debriefing, with great success you really need clean up your act and start behaving more legit, but they obviously got cocky in that regard thinking they could keep winging it despite all the mounting external pressures.
