With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

  • 2 Stars — Pretty bad. Some funny moments, dragged, too many vibe repair days. Barely worth checking.

    Votes: 91 11.7%
  • 3 Stars — Average. Solid entertainment in spots, some good chaos and crashouts, but nothing special

    Votes: 176 22.7%
  • 4 Stars — Really good. Lots of hilarious moments, strong fish personalities, solid content and vibes

    Votes: 406 52.3%

I'm gonna run defense for Jet and crew for a second here
Some of these spinoffs and copies of Fishtank are cool and all, but absolutely zero of them scratch the itch. Criticize production all you want (as I have also done), but it's clear now that the soul of Fishtank is something that can't be replicated by just anyone. There are a few intangibles that make FT special and we're pretty lucky to have it.

That being said, I don't give a fuck about Fishtank right now. Bloodgames 2 better be first priority once they relocate.
I think Greg's stuff is completely different from fishtank, even though it borrows a lot of elements from it and I think that's what makes it cool. It's not just a trashy carbon copy. Like I said before, a lot of the positives people see in the pond might be influenced by the good will they give to it due to low production value.

I think a lot of FT production gets to much shit. Yes, there are some things that could be planned out better before hand, but a lot of the charm does come from things being spontaneous. All the behind the scenes snippets show very few people being around for a 24/7 livestream. So I could cut them some slack for not always being their best, but I don't get why they don't hire more people. I also have a hard time getting over Jet fucking contestants. If there was no evidence, I'd defend him a lot harder for a lot of stuff, but that just feels so icky to me. I understand it's hard to defend, but it's also hard to not believe it, when he doesn't even try to contest it...

greg got oiled up and they had to catch him
trish and leah were able to subdue him
trish jumped on his back and wrapped her legs around him lol

Earlier today, Eddy was missing from the stream and from the contestant roster. Apparently he hit his head, and they took him to the hospital to make sure he didn't get hurt.

Really appreciated Josie's valuable contribution to Extreme Peace of being in one scene and saying absolutely nothing. Better than Vance's contribution of being in exactly no scenes.

It is 4 people in a room responding to TTS and viewers can pay to have something done to them or given to them via a “gregtoy.” How exactly is this completely different from fishtank? They just oiled Greg up and had to catch him which happened on fishtank.

Does anyone so far understand Sam Hyde's logic when it comes to timing MDE with Fishtank?
Like this was all filmed during S1 of Fishtank which wasn't the most efficient scheduling decision (depends on how you look at it really) and now they finished editing it after 2 years or whatever their plan was to release it while a new season of Fishtank was being broadcast live? Basically ensuring they'd lose audience numbers one day per week?

Common logic would dictate you should release MDE either before/after the Fishtank season or something like that - maybe release 2-3 teasers toward the end of it to get people hyped up. But why would you release the full thing simultaneous to Fishtank?

They also should release the episodes of the previous season right before the next season goes live but they’re retarded

He's the dude who got "Fishtank popular" on twitter during S1 because he was watching from the hospital awaiting a heart transplant which he received.
Serious mandela effect going on, I thought that nigga fucking died

Also, do we think Vance was wiped from everything because of the focus fuckups on S2 confessionals or was it something bigger?
