Totally agree. Sam was talking about half-assing S4's recovery being the death knell for Fishtank, but I'm more inclined to think that the show has been gradually collapsing due to rampant neglect. Jet's horrible at his job, Sam doesn't give a shit, and no one can get through to either of them. The shame is that there's absolutely bones here to recover, but they're stubborn and retarded, therefore they're going to fail every season in some way. Shit, just look at how many times the houses were phonebooked via pizza boxes and that'll tell you all you need to know.

That and they seem to openly hate the fanbase that they've built.
The entire point of this season was to show how annoying their fans are.
They're clearly only still invested in this IP for the money.

- realized fishtank cannot continue to be ran in this sort of scuffed way
- hastily planned a season that was always going to end early around the concept of being maximum scuffed
- theme season around shitcoins/penny stocks and "rugpull" us, the audience when the inevitable legal hammer came down
- funding for restructure secured, massively viral, retard zoomerfans fed narrative that it was all the evil locality who doesn't want a show as based and pilled as fishtank to succeed

I believe that one.
I think they basically just left Sodaman and Xavier alone to work on the BG2 set while running S4.
The only time they showed up on S4 was at the end of the day when they would reasonably have finished working on the set for the day.
I suspect that if they'd known that BG2 would never happened they wouldn't have spent months doing landscaping work for free.

Sam's thing about college (from this interview) is that it's a scam for skills but it's great for connections and connections are extremely important, he even credits his time at RISD with connections for MDE. Trades aren't really that body intensive, you have to actually be trying to hurt yourself to break your body.
And outside of trades there are only a limited amount of career pathways that will care about your degree.
Most of tech is entirely cert and experience driven.
Art College is worthless and like 1% of the people working in Art related fields went to any kind of Art school.
If you aren't going to school for Medical, Legal or Financial you're likely putting yourself in debt for a worthless piece of paper.

Agree not bad, but there's opportunity lost as well. Point is there are lots of ways of looking at life, and the must go to college for 18 year olds who have little plans or life experience isn't the tried and true it used to be. Higher education shouldn't be 18 - 22 year old day care. It has a purpose.

Trades won't kill you. College isn't a ticket to success or even higher learning. Life is a competition. Do anything to get ahead, find the path less traveled, etc.

But let's be real, this is the fishtank thread. Ain't none of these fools making good disciplined decisions and pulling ahead.
