I bet at least one of these faggots has a Kiwi Farms account.

I understood it to be a parody of other right-wing grifters. Most of them are that way, a main host who says random bullshit that may or may not be true, and any cohosts just nod along. Fits most of them.

Except Sam isn't comedically mocking the right-wing grifters' points of view - he mostly sincerely echoes them. Nor is he mocking the format - he has actually put in a lot of effort in to making a stylish version of it.

The vast majority of the opinions he puts forward on his show are things he's already stated elsewhere, or are clearly in line with statements he's already made. To use one example, he has recommended 'Hagakure' on numerous occasions on streams and elsewhere; so how is him using his show to do an in-depth analysis of a book he recommends a "parody" of anything?... To use another, how is him urging Elon Musk to stop with the abuse of H1Bs for importing badly paid Indians (in line with Sam's broadly declared disdain for Indians) a "parody" of anything?

90%+ of the audience also just seem be going "yay Sam said something based!"; there seems very little subtext or deeper meaning on display. Even a moron like idubbbz wouldn't fail to grasp the main points Sam makes on the show - there is no need for Ian's whiteboard.

There is no parody, it's just Sam doing the grift.

Daniel is going to end up drinking every day and turn into a monster.

Why are they only allowed to order one beer at a time?

Yeah, I dont have any big problems with Hyde. But he absolutely runs a Crowder esque type show. Two guys (Crowder and Hyde) who surround themselves with nothing but yes man, everyone is employed by them, only know surface level talking points. Im no fan of Shapiro, quite the opposite actually, but atleast he is well informed and educated. Sam is not. Most of what Hyde says is vague and pretentious, as if he is too scared to say what he really thinks, or not smart enough to communicate it properly. It falls apart on the smallest of inspections. I agree with his "le based" takes, but if all you have to say is shit I already know, whats the point? Its not just politics either, Hyde does this with everything.

For instance, several years ago when I started my CS journey, I heard Sam talking earnestly about his video game that he was developing. When asked if hes ever made one before (He was either talking with Destiny or PKA) he basically said no. Then he went on a rant about the current landscape of indie gaming, said how so many games of that elk are based around one simple mechanic, and thats stupid. Said how its shortsighted and selling out to think you need to make shitty little games like that for your first game. Talked about how incredibly ambitious his project was and how he doesnt need to bother with little games first.

What pissed me off is he framed his rant as advice to people also interested in game development, which is funny since Sam has never written a line of code in his life. Sam basically said that its a strength that he can make the game on his own, not worry about deadlines or any kind of restraints, being totally untethered will make his game better. Carmack and Romero preach the exact opposite. Both of those guys talked about how formative there early years were. How they would make a game a day, make a game a week for every letter of the alphabet, how making shitty games on small deadlines actually helped them with their creativity. How constraints forced them to be better. Romero talks about his AAA nightmare of a game that bombed, and how all the creative freedom and blank checks from studios actually made for a much worse product. Both men and many other legendary programmers will tell you how vital little shitty games are for your learning.

Fast forward years later and when Sam was recently talking about his stupid fucking game on PKA, he revealed they are working on a small shitty game first so they can work out some kinks. YOU DONT SAY??

He probably came to learn that you can at least play off a poorly made comedic skit or that most of his stuff will be forgiven by his rabid, albeit small fanbase but when you're making an entire game and it has broken code or design failures then it's super expensive to improve upon and you'll lose a ton of your customers.

Either that or he spoke to someone competent.
