With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Please just pay some random retard to pretend to be a vtuber within the house, lock them in the locker room with a computer. If they're going to have a grifter at least have one that can be humiliated at the same time like the rest of the cast.

I remember we discussed something like this in this thread once upon a time. The idea of a proper live commentator isn't really bad, but good luck finding someone who's dedicated to watching the show 24/7 and has enough prior knowledge to provide insightful commentary and is entertaining to boot. There are plenty of restreamers who already try that with little success. Also a vtuber? Idunnoaboutthat..

The only way a live commentator would work well is if they were also directing the camera mode.
Which is another skill that would be needed and your average fishtank fan is about a level above Cryo in ability to do that.

The only time I'd want a commentator is during the action sequences. If there is conversation between the fish the last thing I want is some spastic talking over them, just remember how bad it was to have the TTS playing over Xavier's monologues during 2.5 (thanks Jet!)

It would also have to be optional for viewers. One of my biggest fishtank annoyances is having TTS or SFX talking over people. So many good Xavier moments were lost because of ai slop. Last thing we need is some drug addict wigger acting like we’re watching for their commentary and not the actual fish.

The sad part is the wiggers love annoyances. They had a way to turn off cameras and fuck audio/visuals for everyone else if you paid for it. I'm certain they were laughing their asses off and clapping like seals when people realized you could spam the car horn sounds during whispertank moments when viewers had their volume up
