Takeaways/highlights from the episode 4 edit:

• Brian is just as insufferable as I remember him being. The woe is me "I'm a loser, I'm a fuckup, waah" "We couldn't get married because I'm a loser!" self pity stuff is nonstop throughout the episode.
• Brian's ex is one of those people you can see and just immediately know is mentally ill just by seeing their faces. Crypt keeper ass physiognomy and not in a good way like Tai.
• The editing was overall pretty good but there were a couple moments during the episode where I was confused by continuity related editing issues. There is a part that shows Cole sitting at the bar with everyone right after Meg leaves and he has a beer then like 4 scenes later that don't include him drinking he's shown incredibly drunk puking on the floor of the doghouse room. You can assume what happened but things in the episode are moving so fast it was a bit confusing. People in our chat also mentioned certain funny comments by Jimmy being cut.
• The attack therapy circle in the living room with Ben and Sam is great. I love the editing where it's cutting between that and the karate sessions with Sullivan was nice.
• Cole casually playing pong while Brian and his ex are being berated by Trish is hilarious
• The episode really highlights how much creepy shit Jimmy did with the girls in the tank. Sam has to explicitly tell him to ask for consent before touching women in the tank (foreshadowing much?) I seriously struggle to believe this guy isn't a virgin.
• Sam roasting Cole for blowing 30k on a lifted truck

This has been driving me a bit crazy and I’m hoping someone’s got a clip. I’ve been looking for any clip of Burt saying “hm, interesting” and I can’t seem to find one anywhere. Unless I’ve somehow Mandela effected myself into believing that’s one of his tics. I seem to recall there was a moment where Mizzy was in the kitchen talking about her sexuality or sexual history and Burt says the line and gets shouted at for being a pervert by Mizzy.

The reason I’m looking for this is because I have been saying “hm, interesting” like Burt by accident and I want to find a sample of this so I can somewhat explain myself.

It's interesting seeing Fishtank's influence on other streamers. The first half of season 2 is full of this. Brian was arguably the worst offender in this regard. Always on about "making content" and stirring up fake drama. If house drama is obviously scripted I do not care about it period. I get where he was coming from wanting to be entertaining and to keep the show fun to watch but it was just irritating to me. You can't force good drama.

Good episode but I feel like they’re trying to make Brian look slightly better than he actually was. When CK shows up he talks about how rough of a time he’s been having but there’s very little shown of the constant negative tts he was getting which was a big reason he ended up staying.
