Greg has been having some interesting story arcs over the course of the past few weeks. I never really enjoyed Greg's streams but have found the last few to be highly compelling because of his depression arc and weight loss journey. Greg is a very emotional guy who expresses himself honestly so its interesting to see these things go down in real time.

Depression:
Greg has been depressed since roughly around the end of Season 3 of Fishtank because he is having financial problems and not making enough money from streaming. He got banned on twitch a few days ago for accidentally showing his fake set of tits that he wears for donation goals. He made a few comments about how female streamers don't have to try as hard to pull numbers, likely referencing the recent streaming success of the Fishtank season 3 girls. He's had several breakdowns over the effort he puts in to being a content creator and the lack of success he's had. He streams just about every day despite complaining about burn out and losing motivation.

He also complains about not wanting to "pander" by making content related to fishtank in order to get more views, as most of his current active community knows him from the show. He compares his situation now to the situation he was in when he first walked into the Season 2 house a year ago. He could easily get views and money by doing fishtank-related content but doesn't want to because he wants to be appreciated for his personality and the content he creates separate from fishtank. He doesn't want to known as "the fishtank guy" just like he didn't want to be known as "the mr.beast guy".

Weight Loss Journey:
As far as I know, Greg's serious attempts at weight loss started as a result of Sam making him show and jiggle his fat belly at the end of Bitchtank. Sam did the same thing to Bliccy and made her cry, and later apologized to Greg that same day. I didn't keep up with Greg streams until recently so correct me if I am wrong about this. Over the past few months he has talked often about fasting. Right now he's 32 hours into a fast where he can't eat again until Sunday. Idk much about fasting but this seems extreme to me.

From what i've seen at least half of his stream and video content revolves around consuming unhealthy food. He uploaded a Youtube video yesterday where he eats a bunch of different kinds of grilled cheeses. Recipe examples include a grilled cheese with donuts for bread and cotton candy grilled cheese. Other video examples include trying every Buckee's sandwich in one sitting or trying every Faygo soda flavor. He also frequently orders doordash and goes out to restaurants on his streams "for content" which I think is just an excuse to spend a bunch of money on unhealthy food and eat a lot of it. On his latest stream he said that he considered ozempic, and would consider it further if his fasting didn't work. Greg also binge drinks alcohol on his streams somewhat frequently.

Current Stream:
Greg is currently live with a stream titled "There is No Stream". For the first ten minutes I tuned in, Greg was completely silent on his phone while laying in bed. Now he's watching youtube videos and not providing any commentary whatsoever. He seems completely disillusioned from streaming and content creation. He also mentioned his week-long fast, which is the only time I heard him talk in thirty minutes. The stream is honestly making me laugh because it's like a parody of low-effort streamers, intentional or not.

I've done multiple 14 day fasts and honestly they aren't that bad, you are hungry for about the first 3 days and after that you are fine. A bit extreme for sure, and certainly not sustainable, but not unhealthy.

As much as it might look like the top streamers barely have to do any work, they had to grind like hell to get there in the first place, the biggest predictor for success when it comes to content is effort and originality. Sitting in silence watching youtube videos is about as far down on that scale as you can get. He needs to sit down with a notepad and brainstorm for 10 hours then put some of those plans to work.

I never saw that? Got a clip?
I don't really see bliccy as a type to cry since she is sorta playing a character.
Only clip I could find courtesy of gay guy hearttank on twitter. Not sure if she actually cries, but she sulked about it for a long time and was clearly upset. Clip doesn't really show how long she was quiet and moping about it afterwards. Since that guy AbsorbedToast is recapping Bitchtank on youtube now, maybe we'll get more context and the apology on that episode.

Jon interviewed Simbal on a twitter space. It's not that noteworthy aside from the fact that Jon mentions he's going to be doing an event in February that includes 10 contestants and will last 30 days, sounds like a fishtank spinoff. Jon did something similar with a 3 day stream on the fishtank website with 1 or 2 contestants earlier this year called "The 40 Boys Presents: The Great American Challenge" where the prize was joining the 40 boys, aided by Jacob from bitchtank (powenvy). It was a disaster but had its moments. Lost media at this point.

will jon ever realise he's a lolcow comparable to jimmy? he can't run his own life let alone an event.

Greg to my knowledge is a bit of an odd content creator. His effort seems to be pretty inline with Mr Beast ironically enough. He was making a kind of content slop with all his trying foods videos and pretty generic trend-surfing for views. I get that he would want to not be stuck to Fishtank but at this point pandering would probably not help either. For a streamer pandering to the Fishtank viewership seems to just break down to either a crash course on MDE history or reacting to recaps of previous seasons and there is such a massive glut of that content now with the Season 3 Fish going so hard on it.

It is a bit sad that its not working out for him but it is what it is. I absolutely don't see the appeal of his streaming, but he was great on the show and I guess he is just better as a cast member than a leading man so to speak.

It would be a shame if he grows to resent Fishtank, hes been so good with it, and if he comes back in some capacity I think it would still be great.

does jet rlly care that much? he hates /ftl/ and twitter tards, i have never heard him mention kiwi farms.
He called us "terminally online" and supposedly doesn't get lolcow culture, but then he brought on AirsoftFatty and tried to bring on KingcobraJFS. He's one of those people who hates it when someone comes up with an idea that'll make their own work good because then he can't take credit for it. It's an ego thing, IDK. The Fishtank fandom loves to exaggerate stuff that goes on behind the scenes.
