With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

I was thinking about this season, and I completely forgot that Binx tricked Burt into fighting Tony (for her honor), and then egged him and called him a child predator or whatever in regards to the Brandon shit, leading to production taking Burt into the basement.

Why did she do that? Strategically it makes no sense, they were already in talks of voting Burt off anyway

or was it after, and burt was a target before binx switched it to symbol.

i think it was binx trying to take some heat from her about the Brandon situation, she probably realized it was not cool with the fans and tried to act like she was never for it.

It doesn't really matter if it's live or not, i didn't really understand this part of the gaslight
regardless, you're on a show and you know your job is to be entertaining.
you know the cameras are on all the time.
so whether it's live or not is sort of immaterial
 
Anyone else surprised how no one seems to care about people saying nigger on the show?
I mean, they casted a bunch of normies this season, but no one seem to have an issue with luke or jobe saying nigger or faggot several times. Even a turbo normie like payton had no problems with it and even streamed alongside jobe.
I expected at least one of them to call them nazis or some shit like that, or try to distance themselves from the show or denounce it or whatever, but so far, the only one talking shit has been the monkey cuck.

do you not remember the alex nigga drop on like night 1, that had all the girls in a tizzy.

or the ian vs jobe thing.

i think by the time jobe was trying to kill a black baby everyone that was left was just acclimated to how crazy the tank can get.

we had an Indian and a large black man wrestling to get each others fish killed for like an hour, icky puckers, etc. some words dont mean much at that point.

All the people that took offense to it left the show leaving only those indifferent to it for the sake of the show. They were still surprised by it even on the final day even if they weren't going to freak out over it.

In my opinion it was projection from Binx, or at least her trying to deflect some of the flak from herself. She said "you're going to get egged for supporting Brandon", which she also did even after being shown evidence by Sam. She then says "when you support someone you need to know the whole story" before TTS called both her and Burt out for supporting Brandon and she falls back on "it's ok Burt, WE didn't know the full story". Again, she had been shown the evidence and I don't remember Burt ever being called into the confessional by Sam or production in relation to Brandon. Even Binx saying "it's for 9 year old Lactasia" when getting Burt to dump yogurt on his head showed how insincere she was. Maybe a drag queen would use that name, but it sickens me to hear it used for a child and she was just using it flippantly for whatever reason.

She probably knew that she'd let production and the audience down by that point and was trying to claw back some approval from non-simps and prove that she's "not just some thot" to production. Unfortunately for Binx the stink was already on her. I'm pretty sure she never apologized for supporting Brandon either, as Burt did (it's arguable whether or not Burt was sincere or just felt overwhelmed in that situation, but he did apologize).
