I haven't been watching and only catching up now but this looks like some genuine Jerry Springer type shit and is peak disaster/traincrash entertainment. Frank being temporarily overshadowed seems like a total non issue compared to the kahntent that is happening now.

God, Alex's wife is more insufferable than he is when he's in a crashout. Fat, useless parasite leeching off his family's wealth and Alex gets to take care of her kids.
 
Does Fiona realize her Shrek will just kick her to the curb as soon as he leaves? Even if Binx is putting on an act and doesn't really want to get with Alex, the hambeast is gone. Didn't she want to divorce him anyway? What does Alex even have to lose?

She's probably one of the worst people to ever exist, but she is street smart. Once Sam acquiesced and announced Binx was kicked, she insisted she needed to see Binx actually leave (and then later, "see her boney ass on the plane"). As they kept trying to placate her while insisting they were happy to jettison Binx because Alex was "the star", she smelled a rat and switched back to demanding they leave and "you can keep Binx".
Unrelatedly, Simbal's been having a meltdown in the confessional for about the past half hour, because he's worried about how the show is "depicting" him.
