The Bitches are having production interviews in the Cell. Daddy Dave is present and making occasional commentary. The interviews come after each saying publically which Bitch they like the most. This is shortly after Shadi came on. Clair and Hailey like each other. Shadi likes herself, idk what Abi said.
Clair goes to the private interview first. Present are Letty, Jet and Daddy Dave. Claire says she does indeed like Hailey, but Shadi also seems cool. Appreciates the energy she brought (even though she just arrived). Like all subsequent girls, she talks about the struggle inherent to reality tv: being genuine while also being dramatic and acting out. Comes off as sympathetic in my eyes.
Hailey is next. She acknowledges that she might come off as 'try hard''. Reaffirms here fondness for Claire. Says she likes Shadi. While this is happening, Shadi, criticizes her for stuttering as soon as she (Shadi) came on. She worries the audience won't like her but says she is tough. Also comes off as likable and genuine, but definitely more fragile and less likely to hold up. Says she wants to take out Shadi first as she is the biggest threat. Then Abi, who she thinks she can beat. If Claire beats her she won't be pissed. Daddy Dave asks her what she's nervous about. She is confident that no one will dig anything embarassing up about her. She used to be fat, but that's it.
Abi is next.
But as soon as Hailey rejoins Bitch Tank Shadi asks her whether she supports Israel or Palestine. Note that while Hailey was gone, Shadi was saying she might be 'fake edgy' and shitting on her. Hailey stutters before saying Palestine. Shadi doesn't believe her and calls her a Zionist. Threatens to write that word on her head. Playful roughhousing ensues. Content good.
Abi says she doesn't like Claire. When they ask her if Hailey is racist, she says well, Hailey is Hispanic. When asked if Mexicans are the worst type of Hispanic, Abi says yes. Says that, to her surprise, she likes Shadi.
Jet tells all the Bitches that Daddy Dave will always be addressed as Daddy Dave. He will be their father figure and guiding light.
Claire and Hailey start attacking Abi (calling her fake, direct insults and tension building) while Shadi is in confession. The attacks continue throughout all of Shadi's interview. Good in parts but as it drags feels more like forced conflict that the Bitches feel they need to fuel. Drama had been stirred hours earlier that Abi was acting like a celebrity or felt others were in awe of her. Claire and Hailey call her fake and rail on her for having nothing noteworthy about her. Her only notability comes from being Jimmy's target. She snaps back. It goes on.
Shadi's confession is mostly just hijinks. She's doing her character. Clearly a natural comedian though time will tell whether she's a good one with staying power. Not as funny as it was with the Bitches. She doesn't really say anything substantial, just that she wants to win and that she thinks she can beat the other Bitches. Doesn't have a high opinion of any of them but singles out Hailey as the weakest. All the other Bitches are at least semi attractive and used to praise. Therefore, per Shadi, they will be easy for her to beat. Jet asks her if she can be counted on to fuck things up. Her answer is an emphatic yes. She likes Letty and clearly wants to mirror her to some degree. She seems to be the drunkest. Is either playing it up or had alcohol before her entrance.
When Shadi returns, the fire aimed at Abi loses direction and Shadi takes control, going all out on Hailey (for the most part). To me it isn't that funny. Eventually just starts to feel like they're doing it for teh caaahntent. There is a bit of a physical altercation with Shadi attacking Hailey. Ben and Jet pull them apart. They're just insulting each other and it gets quite tedious. Shadi is fat and a shit disturber, Hailey is a weak fake bitch, ad infinitum.
During the interviews the Bitches decorated a Taylor Swift athletic shirt (?). Claire drew the logo.
After being far and away eclipsed by Junkie Tank, Bitch Tank is looking a lot better. I'm starting to appreciate all the Bitches. Abi is by far the least likable, but she may yet be a great villain. Shadi is very dramatic, clearly acting up. For now it's working, but we'll see if it has legs. She's definitely tough and funny. Claire and Hailey are more mild mannered but they could generate a lot in the right circumstances.
Daddy Dave is a great presence. Importantly, he knows how to slip into the background and when to contribute. He gets to watch a stream of his room and read chat with his head held sideways. Notably this shows us that there is a ~15 second delay in the stream. He's very engaged and wishes he had a phone so he could follow chat more closely. Hopefully he sticks around.
