With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Sylvia on her own was basically a non entity but once she was pushed past her breaking point by TTS or Frank you got incredible content like that night you are mentioning where she had a total meltdown on Frank. That entire thing is still one of my favorite nights in the tank of both seasons.


Fun fact also she claimed the entire meltdown she had this night including the thing with the bed was a bit. That she wasn't really mad and she was just playing into it.

Because Josie is an aberration, she has several deranged paypigs that donate 1k in single donations every few streams, during her 1 year anniversary stream she supposedly made 10k in donations because of this. Tayleigh, Trish, Taylor and Jimmy are more in line for what you would expect for a normal fish to have in a post season environment. Tayleigh is just the standout streamer for S2 so I started there to see if the best case scenario was bringing enough money to survive and thrive off of. Trish is really the target to benchmark this, but I'm kinda burned out from putting that table together for Tay, so I'm not planning on doing it any time soon, or at all.

God, I really need to sit down and go through the thread for the second half of S1. I got too busy IRL to keep up shortly after Mauro's screaming match with Jon, but I'm clearly missing out.

Cole, Jimmy
Cole might be a fag now but his small run on the show made a super obvious impression. For those first two weeks I genuinely thought he was the only likeable and funny person in the house.. till Jimmy totally buckbroke me with his sheer autism. I love that lil' sperg so much. That night production was going after his notes might have been the biggest highlight of S2.

I'm pretty sure I brought this up before in the chatroom, the fish will almost certainly be forced to wear eye protection 24/7 and maybe full face masks when airsoft is active. You won't be able to tell them apart aside from outfits and you won't be able to understand them behind a mask. Also we've seen the go-pros in action with the 'bodycam footage" already during the paintball challenge as well. I had to clip it off flowstreams but absolutely do not expect to see anything beyond 15-20 yards from the fish. The bitrate was bad in a house, adding in moving leaves, branches and various bullshit on the ground like dead leaves will crash it even harder. I think this is Tay shooting TJ from across the living room and you cannot see him, plus the arms are in the way.

Keep expectations for 2.5 low, they're dealing with stuff like wind blowing into the microphones and just the general annoyance of even picking up audio when outdoors as well.
 
Tai is currently streaming and he had someone freak out at his house while calling the cops. Ha! Livestreaming the whole thing.

Well yeah, jetslop is still jetslop. Even though they fixed a lot of the audio issues in S2 (probably accidentally) by adding carpet to the house and adding design elements that likely reduced that annoying echo S1 constantly had. There’s no way 2.5 is going to be anything other than a shitshow from a viewer experience perspective.
 
This drone cam makes me fear these retards are setting up a wireless system for the whole area.
This barely works when professionals do it.

Thirstposting aside, I'm glad Letty isn't as anorexic as she used to be. Fishtank has taught me firsthand how common eating disorders are in women.
