I don't think she was ever actually listed, only Jimmy, Jon, and Tai were named. People were assuming because of Jet asking for the different art pieces that she was going to be there, as well as Vance and Tay. That and the names seemed to be in alphabetical order so those names would fit the empty spaces.

Exactly. He's disliked precisely because of his neutrality and his refusal to act, even when he was given plenty of easy tasks or challenges to accomplish. Let's not forgot how he had to practically be begged to shave. He was missing the equivalent of FishTank layups. The quality of a Fish isn't determined by what they do outside of the show, but what content they generate during a given season. Vance's only interesting features was the schizo bit, let's go, and some scheming that he never acted on. Still was fun to watch him seethe though.
Too often fish are evaluated and judged harshly for trying things that are risky and failing or making too many attempts at something. Failing a "layup" and not trying anything ever again is much worse.
Boring Fish are the lowest of the low. Even Fish who are extremely unlikable hold more value than if they were just boring. Damiel was hated, but at least he would keep kiwichat engaged because of being so terrible. I'll never forget when he returned for a third time and we all wanted to kill ourselves. Made his downfall all the more sweet. There's other examples, but Damiel was the first that came to mind.
he was the basements favorite/plant, then snuck a phone in and just hid in his room on twitter and smoked weed, then got kicked out, and just came back like 3 days later and just sat in his room and complained about how shit his life was, while begging for drugs/detoxing.
Vance at least did one or two things, like the schizo bit or showing off his drumming skills. The only notable things about Mauro were him leaving because a suspected pedo got kicked out (whether Simmons was one is debated, but that's not the point) and him leaving again the instant he got hassled, while literally all I remember about Meg is Roblox and "spaghetti and meatballs!!!!!" (Dunkey will never be funny, and that's a fact of life)
As a fellow white guy from the PNW I rooted for Vance up until around halfway through season 1. At that point it became obvious his passiveness made winning virtually impossible. Damiel just sucked. Like he wasn't boring but the dude was a tryhard and I'll never forget how horrible he was at the freestyle rap challenge thing when his entire persona was pretending to be black. He got out rapped by a white Canadian girl.
both were awfull , vance was boring and trying too hard to be a fan favorite and Damiel is a MDE buttbuddy with all that implies. Brian tried to pull a Vance in season 2 and unsurprisingly he was only liked by the wiggers.
