It is absolutely a problem with Production. The cast was fine and Sam is stupid for thinking they should feign secrecy after the wave of realization swept the room. If you don't want fans to recognize fans then don't bring on fans as contestants.
Really tired of the contestants being blamed for poor aspects of the show. The fault doesn't lie with any of the fish that they realized almost all of them are infiltrators when they were all tasked to find the infiltrator(s) from day 1. Consider contingencies instead of bitching about them ruining inflexible plans on a reality internet show.
All of this season had this strange 'Who is the target' thing. Like, is it Production who are the real Fish? Is it the audience? etc. The infiltrator schtick didn't have to be secret between the Fish at all. They could all have been in on a joke aimed at the audience, sworn to keep a secret among themselves to pretend to not be fans for the show. It actually worked for the first few days but the stress of being outed had a very detrimental effect on the Fish. I think Production took a very bad path with the situation they ended up in, with the rushed casting ending up with a lot of fans. In the future they are inevitably going to be back to casting fans as the show gets on, so if the lesson is; 'fuck bringing on fans'', they are really screwed.
