what I would like to see out of season 3:
* An in-game currency like Chips, but with more uses and more attention. Let the fish pay NPCs/production throughout the season to get information or lightly sabotage other contestants. Or maybe buy food or items, like a commisary, but it needs to be more than just buying drinks from Chris Lynvh. Likewise, there need to be more opportunities to get chips. In S2 they forgot about chips like half way through and basically stopped giving them out.
* More reason for fish to form tribes. What's the point of forming allegiances? To throw applesauce on the other contestants' clothes? If they can sabotage one another in meaningful ways it would make sense for allegiances to form earlier on. I don't know the right way to stop that from just being dog piling but maybe more frequent team challenges would help, with team mates not being replaced if they're eliminated.
* More clear rules. They got better about it at the end of the season, but the rules of challenges and activities in the house were too vague, and they wouldn't get clarified until someone either broke or abused the rules. And ofc Shinji never understood the rules fully because he can't speak English.
* Sticking to bits for longer. The Initiative Group could have been awesome, but it was abandoned early on. I also feel like chips were just bailed on early in the season. Karate also should have continued, or at least Sensei Scott should have stayed a regular guest in the house, even if just to train people in boxing. They also gave up on "secret missions" early on because everyone kept "production told me"-ing. But then once there were only 4 people left, the fish weren't making moves against each other anymore until the finale.
* A beef mechanic that isn't comprised of random coin-toss challenges, and where the punishment isn't so great. Staying in the dog house from the time of the challenge until noon the next day is too much, the stakes are too high, and it leads to all beefs being settled late in the evening because the challenger is mitigating the result of a potential loss.
* No more convincing people they're the star of the show. They did it with Cole and he got a big head and then quit, thinking he could bully production. Then they did it with Jimmy and he quit, thinking he could bully production. Airsoft Fatty almost did the same thing. These people aren't reasoned and stable enough to play along if they think they have leverage on the production team.
