There was a bullshit challenge early in the season to find the golden scarab for money. It was a time waster as there was no golden scarab. Now there is one so it'll presumably feature in an upcoming challenge or maybe even determine the winner and they will insist it was there all along or something dumb.

it's the golden beetle that was hidden at one point. If anyone found it they would've gotten some amount of money, 5K maybe. It was never found iirc.

They either redid this or it was originally when Britney (Abigail) was in the tank. She mis-spoke or intentionally spoke (I don't know how much prompting she had from production to fuck with Jimmy) and made Jimmy convinced that she had the scarab. That was one of the things that made Jimmy extremely paranoid and suspicious of her before the mallet incident
