It's funny how much 4chan was a part of the Fishtank experience because the farms were down. Endless threads with Letty's ex posting in them surrounded by other threads about how mainstream TV shows were "kino".

It does feel like something that can't really be experienced properly if you weren't there because of it spilling out onto Twitter, KF, streams, etc. Someone could probably cut it into a narrative but it would take a lot of time. Probably best for the show to be a live event that you can't miss.

The funniest part about Sam is how at the end of a skit he looks at the camera and says “haha this was all an ironic joke” and then explains exactly what message he was trying to convey with that particular skit.
Oh wait he doesn’t do that, that would be completely retarded.
 
So I've been watching the officially licensed (tm) version of the show. Just completed episode 8.

I understand that there's hundreds of hours of footage to comb through. I get that. I don't envy any editor with such a task ahead of them. But there's so much missing. All of Frank's pick-me-up speech to Chris not to mention Chris walking through the door frame and busting it.

Also, it's kind of badly edited in the sense of story telling. Very little is explained to the audience. It's annoying but it's a good idea to re-explain the rules and why people are doing shit especially for a game show. For example: episode 8 ends with Lance getting his hair cut off, why? Why is Sam suddenly there?

They don't really set a lot up and they don't explain very much as to what's happening and why. This is not a big deal if you've followed along but if not it makes it all very esoteric. This is when you add bits of interviews with the cast or have some voice over from Sam or Jet or whoever explaining what is happening.

They don't use Sam that much too. Think of any reality show ever and think about the number of times the title subject makes an appearance during any episode. Granted that Sam is not the star but he is the host. You could argue that they're downplaying it to reduce the chance of the powers that be noticing and sending out the "shut it down" order but I'd argue that would happen with anything featuring Sam.

I still enjoy it. But they need another editor.

You're right in general but I'm confused, Frank's pick-me-up speech was in episode 8 as a flashback. And Chris smearing soup and goop on the doorframe (he didn't bust it, it was soup) is in episode 9 cuz it happened after the events of 8.
 
I thought at first that they were holding back footage to either sell it as a "full season" Blu and VOD release to get those shekels. But seeing as the runtime for episodes is anywhere from 25 minutes to 90 minutes it just tells me that they're figuring it all out as they go.
