I think its ultimately a good thing for them to be going hard on monetizing this project as much as they can. Its inherently difficult to operate outside of the system as they do. Its seriously impressive how they managed to not only survive but gain serious momentum with all this.

No real notes from the stream, numbers stuck around 25-30 views. Someone named Austin420 ticked him off and he really got on a roll shouting at the guy about weed, which was classic Jon.

Rusty Cage is a new addition to the podcast list and, as he just announced on an IG space a moment ago, Toby Turner. I'm not sure how that happened, I don't follow Toby Tuner (of course, lol) but he sorta looks based on his twitter like he might be at Skankfest? So maybe Sam or the crew set it up?
It was nice seeing him so excited though, I think you could call it nepotism from Sam but really, a lot of people wanted to get in touch with him and use him for their videos and he was the one being hard to reach.
It's just interesting that right now he hasn't properly monetized any of this, he's got his shit merch , a tiny dead Kick stream, and no streamlabs.



Vance's prank calls have been going really well, views at about 100ish still. I have to add they are really funny, I think maybe not if you hate this type of humor but he's good at keeping people on the hook and his gimmick of picking up suggestions for what to say from chat makes it interactive.

Feels shitty for sure. I get you on that competely, but these silly geese are adults. All we can do is just laugh at the sad folks that end up doing it. I still get the giggles when I think about that fat black hooker than took one look (and sniff) of airsoftfatty and told him he smelled like shit, and backed out.

I had to do a double take when I read Toby Turner. Then I thought that there was no way you meant Tobuscus. It had to be a different Toby Turner. But Tobuscus is dead ass following Jon on Twitter lmao. He’s also following Ethan Ralph. (Possible kiwifarms browser???)

For those of you out of the loop, Tobuscus was a famous YouTuber back in the day (literally on par with pewdiepie) who was apart of millions of peoples childhoods. He made Minecraft videos, music videos, and played happy wheels. He was a pioneer. You know how every successful YouTuber has to make a music video and have their stuff animated? Toby played a massive part on setting that trend. His successful career was cut short after his ex wife and a few other exes came out and said he did hard drugs, was a rapist, and abused them. All of which, as far as I can remember, came out as not true. At that point though it was way too late though and his views dwindled very quickly.

For the past few years he’s had a vlog channel where he just sits and talks about life. One of the videos that took off was him calling out the ridiculousness of trans kids (based). He also talked about how Kyle Rittenhouse defended himself legally and that he only killed pedophiles so it was ok (based). This lead a lot of his fan base to reeee at him, especially some of his past audience that was now trans to claim he wanted them to be killed.

Basically, he doesn’t give a fuck about cancel culture now because he’s been through hell already, and he consistently speaks his mind. The idea that Tobuscus might be involved with Sam Hyde through Jon is both hilarious and insanely cool to me.

Sorry for the long post, but it just peaked my interest because I’ve been on a nostalgia kick recently and I’ve been watching some of his videos. What a coincidence. I’m actually looking forward to this interview.

He also voiced a character in Doug Tennapel and Nerkish's Burkle and Spay shorts that also had Rusty Cage in a few of them as a crow. I think Sven Stoffels animated them. They're not up now and I really should have archived them when I had the chance to. Just an interesting trajectory overall for his career to take after the shit with his ex.

Lmao thanks for the deep dive. I was hugely skeptical when I heard he and Jon were talking because the last thing I heard was like you said, the rape allegations and him dropping off the map.

I think this is becoming quite a trend, I don't want to throw around cliches, but the pendulum is swinging back and it's causing a lot of people who were pushed off the ledge over the last few years to climb back up and reevaluate their obligations to those responsible for shoving them off.

As it relates to Jon, he's a man with no history before Fishtank and he's planning to do all these podcasts, mostly with people whose backstories he has not researched and probably doesn't even care to look up. On his last stream he said he's only "kinda" prepared to talk to most of these people. Conceptually, the idea of rightoid/alternative content creators who've been shat on talking to Jon, and him asking them nothing about their pasts because he doesn't know or care, is interesting. Feels very post-Woke.
 
I’ve been pretty annoyed with the lack of communication about the edited season. Why do I have to scroll through jet tweets to find out when this thing is coming out or really anything about it? Why not send an email to the list of emails you have for the people that bought the thing?
