-Be yourself, but embellish your backstory however you feel would be advantageous, but keep it consistent

I forget what day it happened but after he said he was deciding whether or not to leave because his "baby mama" was about to give birth he inadvertently told Sylvia his baby mama was four months pregnant, and she was like, what?? And he looked like he'd been clubbed over the head and went "....I have two baby mamas."

He's retarded and his actual personality sucks but he had a hard job too, lol. He seems like he would be fine at acting in reasonable circumstances but he would always crack up or lose the mode when he was trying to fake an emotion for a long time on FT, and there's no way to cut.

Dad fights begin

Given Mauro and Damiel are equally worthless careerwise, the pro-con list looks like this:
Mauro stepped to Vance, Jon, and Chris
Damiel stepped to Letty

Damiel lasted 20 days in the tank and got pulled before his expiration date because he chiggered out over stolen nigga shoes
Mauro left on day 8 because he thought the show was disreputable

There were some highlights throughout, it wasn't riotously funny but this is the first time I think he's welcomed questions about Fishtank where previously he seemed to give half-answers, like he hadn't processed everything yet. Now it seems like he's finally seeing some moments more clearly than before. He did the "I didn't lose, I won" thing once but then dropped it and has started to say flatly that he placed third.

I might go back and get better notes tomorrow using the transcript but off the top of the dome: now with corrections:
- He more clearly sees that he could have not apologized to Mauro. He says he still doesn't know Mauro well and might have misjudged him before dealing with him. Also read a bunch of rude chats about Mauro that will 100% make their way back to the man.
- Some people did harass his gf after the bit, so he felt justified in worrying. He said harping on in his message to her and moping around was his biggest mistake on the whole show, because he knew it was a bit but assumed they wanted him to seem upset, and that it would help him in the challenge to play into it. And obviously it was a trap.
-He says the he thinks the outcome of the menace challenge was fair - last time he spoke about this he said he thought he won it but that it wasn't his call. He says he was doing his best in his head but that he knew the results weren't believable. Because of this he's not sure how he measured up to Letty, but said he doesn't want to watch the clips of that challenge back because he knows they're bad. Said he knows the show wasn't meant to be "fair" and he was mostly relieved that the pressure was off when he was eliminated.
- Said that wouldn't have respected himself if he had shoved Josie, and that the audience wouldn't have respected him "which was a big part of the game, right?" Chat pressed him on that and he said, ok yeah being nice didn't count for as much as he thought it was going to, and that he was wrong for using Survivor as a model. Said if he could go back he would have done it differently without being a "dickhead," but wouldn't have been as nice because that's not what people appreciate. He didn't say "I would be meaner to Letty" like he did last time so either he's over that or he's learned it makes him sound like a cunt. Someone asked him if he's blocked Letty and he says no.
-Agrees that Chris carried the show. Said that the failed CPR bit was cringe and he should have just left Chris lying there.
-Vance says he was brought into WP2 unscripted and was happy they trusted him to do that. Chat tells him about Letty having a big role in WP2 and writing her own lines, he has a visible reaction to this but doesn't say anything other than that it's cool and he hadn't heard about it.
-Reads some of his bits from his notebook, says that half of them were things that Jon and Josie did naturally and the other half he finds mostly weren't funny anyway. Says he thought he needed to be the weird one in the tank and quickly found that wasn't needed.
-Chat offers to tell him about anything he didn't know about. He learns that the plumbing was ACTUALLY broken and how close it came to ending the show and how that's why camping was extended, and about the rumor that Chris Chin was scheduled to be the bear but his car broke down.
-Some people bug him about Damiel being a plant and he says he can't answer it. Someone asks him about Damiel having a secret objective to put chili on Letty's bed and he says that it's surprising to give Damiel a secret objective given... ~uh~...
-Rips into a chatter who suggests his girlfriend would prevent him from attending a reunion. Says some people don't know that the show is over and that they don't know anything about her so why do they make things up

Sorry you're right, I forgot to add that part and I usually include it. I was just trying to remember all the salient discussion points before passing out.

Vance has a whale named bombs who drops $100-200 per stream, bombs gave him $100 this time but I think everyone else only gave him $50 or so.

He did reiterate a few times that what he wants out of Sundays is not cash but to work on building a core of fans in his community who he can chat with.

This is probably power leveling to a degree but I think if he's thinking on the very long term, this is probably a good move. Having a good community, as the content creator, involves intentionally building a culture and training the audience to learn what you like. Josie has been doing the opposite and her audience is training her instead, a lot of the time, because there's too many of them asserting a pre-existing culture and pressuring her to assimilate. That's not gonna be fun for her because she won't be a fan of her own streams.

It's even worse because everyone was talking in FTLC before so each fish is adopting a dog from the pound, and not a puppy, essentially. At one point the whole chat started spamming "yeah" and Vance was surprised at the speed chat began to move, when someone joked "now you're seeing what we would do in fish tank chat when we were bored" he was like, "oh no it's cool" or whatever but it was an example of how he's had limited exposure to his own community.

If he wants to make good money on Wednesday and Friday without wanting to kill himself, he'll want a curated core of fans who will make it fun for him. That's just general wisdom about streaming though.


edit: endless autism, I ran a few filters on sam's conversation with Letty in B4 the day she told him she wanted to quit after Frank's first exit. It's barely better but I was at least able to pick out some things that weren't easy to hear before - Sam says something like, that the producers laughing at her getting bullied is a good thing for her in the scheme of the show even if she feels picked on, and what sounds like him saying that Letty only gets the abuse because Sylvia and Josie can't take any of it.

I made this clip for @Aristides again, although once I got the gist of this situation I definitely wanted it as a clip for myself.

For context, for people reading the thread who aren't as obsessed: Lance admitted once he left the tank that he wanted Letty to win. He never made that clear until he went home, so people noticed he was flirting with her a little but it took until later for him to state, like in his Q&A, that he wanted her to win and that his goal was to get Damiel or Sylvia out.

Knowing that, this sort of unreadable series of actions on Day 26 by Lance turns from random movement and inscrutable behavior into a deliberate, mostly-successful attempt to stop Letty from leaving. I think if Letty had tried to leave because she thought the show was over, the producers may have let her leave, but Lance averted that and the fish's retarded attempt to make her go.

Things to note, for individuals of autism:

• Sylvia suggests that Letty is packing. Lance's head whips around and his eyebrows fly up. "Is she leaving?" "I hope so." "...No."
• He immediately asks where she is, starts to go upstairs, then turns around. I'm not sure why he decides against it, I think he's not yet convinced she is actually trying to leave, or he thinks it's not his place as a freeloader.
• This one's more subtle - instead of going to Letty, he forwards his goals while staying in his clone-lane by spending several minutes blocking Vance from following Frank upstairs. Vance pretty clearly wants to go up but Lance is *mysteriously dawdling* in his way and Vance is too soy to squeeze past or ask him to move.
• Frank returns and tells Lance "She's packing." Lance: "She's packing?!" Lance again starts to go to the stairs and stops himself. Frank starts laying into Letty, as though the whole room is in agreement. Lance, still being opaque, just stands there frozen in a very Vancelike way, combing his hair back, then hands on his hips looking sternly at nothing, fixed in indecision until Frank says "she's on the way out, let her go. That'd be funny." He seems to finds his resolve and abruptly marches upstairs.
• Lance "You're not leaving, are you?" "Well, the game is over." *Lance seems to struggle with how to reply, either he can't tell if she thinks the game is over or he can't tell how to reply as a freeloader, but he suddenly remembers the canon answer "Well we can stay, like, in the house, you know."
• At this she nods very oddly. He gives her a very small nod. She nods at his nod. They basically have an ENTIRE psychic back-and-forth which definitely amounted to "Don't leave" "I won't leave" "I'm glad" "Thanks" until Vance shows up retardedly. Vance asks if she needs help packing, she shakes her head no, and Lance shakes his head "No" at her. As he closes the door he nods one last time.
• And then she bursts into tears. AHHHH LETTY AHHHHHHH I don't know why that set her off, I think it was just that Lance was the first one to check up on her, but The interaction stops her from packing until Jet laughing at her sets her off again. I think either she didn't know until he showed up that the game wasn't over (less likely) or he tipped the scale of her mood towards not wanting to go. She says later she did believe the show was over and that they were all going home, and was most upset because she was having fun in the house and was upset not to hang out with anyone anymore. So I think when Lance reminded her that they could stay the night the emotions of being able to stay a little longer just hit her or something.
• In B4 Vance demonstrates he has no idea what Lance was doing, lol.

Unfortunately after Frank is "fired" he dumps some Bubli on Letty and Jet laughs at her. It's the thing she tells Sylvia and Sam is the reason she wants to go home - because the producers don't respect her. Lance asks if she's alright, and she says yes, even though she just told Sylvia she was thinking of leaving. Which is kind of sad. I think it was cool that Lance wanted to stay "in character" and it would've been pretty gay if he had sat down with her at any point and said "I have your back, for real" but if he knew she wasn't actually ok, something more interesting and organic may have happened. Of course we got shit faced Letty instead which was great so it's all dandy.

From here I guess what I might do is just collect clips I find on day 26 between Lance and Letty and just make it one long video because I know from here she goes sicko mode on everyone and passes notes with Lance and shit and I bet that would make a good compilation. So I won't keep updating but I just wanted to add this one because it was the end of this particular arc.

It's a comfy stream and she's got it set up surprisingly well. Aside from putting together her own duck toy from Fishtank (oo ee oo ah ah) she didn't go in with a plan this time. Some Fishtank questions asked and answered, I'll do a summary and make sure those get included.

One I think people have wondered is what her low point was. She said she doesn't have any really because she would rebound quickly and not let anything get to her too much. She has not had any nightmares post-tank. Earlier in the stream she did joke that the TTS sound effect is itself horrifying and she hates it.
