So I'm not wrong in thinking the crew really, really fucked up jewing out on the fishbuck right? Just yesterday Sam was asking why they weren't giving their all for the challenges, and now when they do the crew comes out and cucks them out of it. Regardless of whether it was funny or not, they are gonna remember this the next time Sam or the crew offers some cash for a stupid challenge.

It’s like when Sam told everyone Letty was the baby shaker. I think the intention of both actions was to induce chaos and make them more confused, but in practice it just shows them the challenges are bullshit and the rules don’t exist. If there isn’t some sort of structure enforced soon I think you’re going to see people start to check out and be less active overall, because they have no incentive to play the game in its current form.

The challenges lacking consistent rules is probably the BIGGEST issue. Like this latest challenge, they just went and said "Never mind, no fish bucks for you!" Who would stay motivated to do challenges when now you don't know if you'll even get paid if you "win"?

Yep. Actually, everything has inconsistent rules. There isn't any structure to the program that we and the contestants are aware of so it's flying by the seat of its pants. That works short term, but the longer this goes on it's more of a problem. I brought it up before when comparing it to Survivor, which is physical and social based. There is no real social game here because there's no obvious benefit to manipulate or scheme (Yet for some reason they still try to). They can't vote each other out so it's just tolerating each other until challenges happen and then back to tolerating each other.

Astonished she's still defending him. Jon is ungrateful for the slack given to him and has shown that he will stab anyone in the back just to be "one of the guys".

That brings me to the other issue, the lack of challenges. Since Sam doesn't want the crew bonding and making friendships organically (Something a lot of people seem to enjoy), he's been trying to get them to fight and cause "tension"... But that isn't really causing drama like he is wanting. No one is fighting or plotting. Everyone is just tired and checked out. Sam should be offering more challenges and more fish bucks so people have an incentive to compete.

Honestly, the show peaked when they had gotten drunk and just had karaoke as a group after going through such a harsh time after Simmon's boot from the show, seeing the group members play tricks to try to one up eachother but then having bonding moments like drunk karaoke afterwards which kind of just "reset" all of their relationships was nice. It was like some real life mario party shit going on. Except TTS is extremely unforgiving now and non-stop, Sam saying that certain people are not to be trusted and going out of his way to keep it that way ruins the game.

Jon had no qualms about this stuff yesterday and enjoyed his time with Sam in the basement, returning valiantly. I think he's hopped on a moral high horse instead of talking about what actually has him mad and he doesn't handle negative TTS very well so it's been building up once they let those through.

I imagine it's more likely related to the whole saying hes thinking about leaving the show thing and the Letty talk last night, plus Jon needs to be able to speak to people, he could never act all day like Vance did, and tbh I don't think any other contestant would do that either

Unfortunately the fact that Jet apparently thinks the solution to this is "bring in more temporary contestants" means the production staff haven't learned shit. They sabotaged their own viewership with the retard challenge, and because their most entertaining fish didn't respond well to it and caused a few quiet hours, Jet thinks he just needs to shove some more annoying spergs into the tank. Fucking laughable.

If they actually bring in more people, all it'll prove is a) that they have no real plans for the show and b) they don't know anything about what actually makes it entertaining.

I 100% agree chat would've blown the show up in the first two days. It would've been nigger spam and everyone would've left practically immediately. Apparently the fag referring to chat as "kiwifarms people" hasn't looked at the thread. This thread is easily the best place to talk about fishtank, I've seen people try to break down every fish at a philosophical levels. Even when people disagree they do it respectfully, and there have been some great discussions had over some of the most minute stuff. Basically, this thread is incredibly autistic and I wouldn't have it any other way. Where else can you find an entire essay written about the moral implications of Letty and Jon's relationship or theorize in detail about Vance being fake or not? And on top of that have people provide input.

I can't think of any other place that has shown genuine concern for the Fish. How they came to be here, their underlying behavioral problems, their upbringing, their mental wellbeing, and why they lack basic life skills, it's all been discussed here. I don't actually hate the Fish (except for Simmons), I pity them.

Hilarious how so much of the show‘s success has been in spite of the crew behind the scenes, particularly the guy funding the whole operation.
Hey Jet. You have a cast of interesting weirdos who have just recently began to open up and feel comfortable being their weird selves in front of everyone. This comfort seems to be go away every time Sam does something retarded, and adding Poochy to Itchy and Scratchy isn’t going to help this problem. Your best course of action is to encourage the fish to be social, interact with each other, and trust each other. Most of the interesting moments of this whole thing have been seeing how the contestants interact with each other and react to each other. Anything that discourages social interaction between contestants will be a net negative for the show overall.

Reading the live chat and the replies here from 4chan fresh meat is exhausting. The retard challenge tanked the show down to as low as 4.9k at one point. It was boring as shit after five minutes. Group think. The fish brains can’t seem to understand that without Jon the last two weeks wouldn’t have worked. The idea of keeping Vance over Jon because he’s performed well for 24 hours is laughable. Listening to the people with short memory will bury this show quick. Hope they’re smarter than that.

The show fell off hard after the Simmons controversy, which changed the whole group dynamic and in turn the show, irrevocably. After the Simmons event, at least half of them act like rape victims, because they believe they survived a week sleeping next to a heckin' baby rapist!! You can see this in the interactions between them. Jon isn't the same, Letty isn't the same, Mauro left etc. Meanwhile the rest suck because they looked at their phones, saw what the audience likes about them and became parodies of themselves. Not including all the other retarded decisions made by Sam Hyde, these two have to be the worst. Simmons won, the show lost, rest is copes.

They don't realize what makes the show great is everything being so organic. The best parts on the show have been due to the producers being mostly hands off. While throwing random shit at the fish can be entertaining, it won't create very memorable moments. Anytime a fish schemes, such as Vance, Damiel, or Letty it's extra entertaining because they're doing it out of their desire to sabotage other fish, not because a producer told them to.

That's why the baby shaking arc was so good and intense, because Letty and Vance chose to sabotage contestants on their own, it's a special kind of evil. The fight between Jon and Damiel was so great because Jon wasn't influenced to btfo Damiel by the staff, that conflict arose naturally, and Damiel left because he was really pissed off. Letty being a flirt is entertaining because she's genuinely flirting with an autist, not being given orders to. Vance being a complete pro at being schizo was hilarious because he came up with it on his own, now staff told him today to do it again by stacking disabilities, and he's lost all motivation to do so.

Even now things like TTS, while they can provide a good chuckle, aren't going to be the cornerstone of the show. If anything they can interrupt some naturally developing arcs because retards in chat want to rush things and get a reaction instead of watch things develop naturally. That's not to say the producers have fucked everything up and can't provide good content. The Ben stories have been funny, and Goldstriker destroying the house makes me laugh until I can't breath. But at the end of the day, what people are going to remember aren't the forced competitions, but the natural interactions.

Nobody will remember the hotdog eating contest, everyone will remember Vance acting schizo. Nobody will remember a TTS telling Jon and Letty to kiss, everybody will remember their constant back and forth between becoming allies or not. The retard event is practically already forgotten, but Mauro and Jon cursing each other out will always be remembered. Bringing some random freeloaders just goes to show that the producers are trying to force things instead of having them happen on their own.

Partial agree. There have been a few moments where I've thought about stop watching. So far it has always rebounded enough to be entertaining. I know some people here liked hide and seek with the groid today, but that sort of thing isn't funny or entertaining to me. The wiggers and their anti-humour friends aren't entertaining or funny to me. As lost and confused as the fish are they still provide good entertainment and there is some actual development happening because they are forced to confront each other and their emotions. The biggest example of this is the Letty-Jon catastrophe. That's the part that's entertaining to me - watching lost, hopeless, stunted zoomers who don't even know that they are lost and stunted interact with each other and Sam's unpredictable insane antics.

I hope things stay mostly on track and it remains watchable, but the phones, wiggers, coddling, TTS, and Sam hijinks feel like they could derail things at any moment.
