With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

In the interview Simmons says he wrote the book right after coming to the US and didn't think it would be weird. He was asked if he had any relationships in camp and denied having any with kids or counselors. He was asked if he had any issues with it before and Simmons mentioned that when he showed a friend his book, he thought it was creepy and Simmons didn't understand why.

He also said the fishtank crew didn't give him any reasons for his removals after what Sam said.

The first audience question asked if he took Sylvia's fishnets. Simmons excuse was for taking them for taking his baby and that Sylvia had said he could keep it after returning the dress. Yadda yadda something about washing it but then he kept it, writing as he speaks hope it's not a pain to read

Simmons says he doesn't think he will sue because of the contract he signed but he might if there's any future harassment caused by it (lol)

From an entertainment perspective Sam did nothing wrong. From a keeping the show together standpoint? He fucked up. The Simmons stuff was fine. But he went straight to laying into the rest of the cast as well.

There was little understanding of the dynamic required to run this kind of show. Letty and Vance should not have been dressed down and expose for their scheme. It’s a natural aspect of reality tv. It’s expected,

Jon was close with Simmons and clearly on the edge. Sam should have given him some
Pep talk before he went to cry in the bathroom. Mauro and Sylvia already had a blow out fight with Jon and Simmons that day so their stress had already peaked.

Now you may try to say that they shouldn’t be pussies, it’s a hell show, etc. But where are we now? Mauro quit. But it was almost worse. Without the drunk pizza party and the cameras going down I assume we’d be missing half the cast by now.

Sam has to have nuance going forward or Jet has to reel him in.

Really no way to know unless we see the contract. Harassment would be dependent on the actual harassing and defamation would be hard because Sam just read his own shit back to him.

Edit: watch his post stream interview and apologize, niggers.

Sylvia rants alone at the Bedroom 3 camera, she seems tired or at least upset. "Follow your fucking dreams and... don't give up." She goes on about how she was working on her band last year and now she's now stuck in this house with crazy people. "This is my favorite perfume." She holds a bottle of Chanel 5 up to the camera. She mentions how last year she had to live through the death of her grandmother, and her cousin who died on Sylvia's birthday. She might've told us about a third person who died, I couldn't catch what she said. She leaves the bedroom.
 
Simmons says his departure will negatively affect Jon's emotions and he wishes he could have been a better wife to Jon.
