It straight up pisses me off that this is what Fishtank has become. The essence of the project is completely muddled and disregarded in favor of watching retards from the community finger themselves on camera or whatever. At the end of the day it’s just some stupid online gameshow, and it always had its quirks, but wow, I can’t even begin to describe how much I don’t want to watch stream stars or this new bullshit whatsoever. Just a bunch of humorless trash. Jet’s yellow fever is truly his downfall. How grim.

I honestly feel like they are trying to sabotage the company. I mean what about the investors? Do they not have a say in anything? Every single person I have talked to about this absolutely hates battlechat. Only Sam Hyde and the wiggers could take Fishtank from it's Season 3/Blood Games high to whatever the fuck this is
They're too myopic and fart huffing to understand what they had and what made it worth watching. IIRC the original concept was a gross out torture cell, but it was the personalities and personal conflicts that made it good not the childish gross out shit. I think Sam struggled with the fact that their most successful character was a bisexual schizophrenic black man who may or may not want to kill and rape, and that some of the other characters basically went against his based and red pilled groyper beliefs. He could not accept that it's a gay show. Its as though they only conceived the show as a torture device for people Sam Hyde thinks are worth torturing, and got upset that viewers actually liked these people or at least found them compelling. Combined with the housing issues it's like they have no real will to put on a good show anymore because god forbid the wrong person gets popular
I just think its very gay and hypocritical to be like "I am going to platform these people so I can torture them because they are le bad and I am le good" and then go "Noooo you weren't supposed to like these people they're bad!!!" As though putting clout chasing retards through hell house is a good thing to do in the first place and as though Sam Hyde and the wiggers are actually good people. Or that people watching this show are good people, myself too, they just want entertainment not a morality test. This is a pretty hot take but I also found the treatment of Simmons and Brandon to be dumb for this reason, Simmons shouldn't have even been kicked off and yea Brandon is fucked up but Hyde and the wiggers were acting so offended by him while they were texting teenage girls to come to their casting couch. hot take, i think Season 5 is still happening eventually. not just Jet, but the entire crew would be taking too much of an L if they just decided to axe the show. as much as they have disdain for much of the audience, they have too much pride/ego to let that happen. not to mention, what would Jet even do? fishtank has been his gig for the past two and a half years, and hes soured his reputation. his only other option would be to do behind the scenes work for Sam, but i feel like with his shift in content he might not be needed there, either. i feel like he has to try and make things work to save his own ass.
that being said, im not sure if i see the brand recovering. i dont think they fully understand how bad S4 flopping was for them, especially following the disaster that was the last two weeks of S3. Season 4 was the perfect opportunity for them to turn things around after disappointing so many people with the scuffed S3 ending, and it was looking promising, but them not taking the proper precautions with all of the legal circumstances which resulted in the show ending TWO WEEKS in, only a third of the way through, really killed their momentum. i was extremely bummed out when they cut the show short, as we all were, but i still retained some optimism. now, three months out, we've gotten no updates, we have the Jet Weinstein drama, and a handful of mentally ill retards are eating poop on the fishtank site. i feel like they're going to have to seriously knock S5 out of the park to win people back and regain momentum, but at this point im feeling a lot less confident in their ability to pull it off given all of the fuck-ups they've made.
the show has always been scuffed, but when things went wrong in the earlier seasons, they'd always be able to reel it back in and make peak entertainment. it gave me a sense that they ultimately had control over things. but with recent events, i get the sense they sometimes dont know what they fuck they're doing and cant keep my hopes up to "trust the plan". like, what direction will they even go with S5? the longer the show runs for, the higher the expectations will be for each season, especially as people get bored of the concept. will we see more young asian fangirls Jet brought on to add to his harem? will they go for another S3 type twist, which may not land the same? they're really gonna have to pull something crazy out of their sleeve with how the vibes are right now. this is why its so fucking bad what happened with the end of S3 and S4, each season matters SO fucking much. we get about two main seasons a year, and like i said, time is not in their favor. do you really think people will still be hype for season 14 of fishtank? they maybe have a handful more seasons before people just stop caring, so they really need to stop fucking around, get some professionalism, and make sure the next few seasons are as good as they can be, or fishtank will end as a sad memory of what could have been if production took it more seriously.
