With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

We know so little about how day-to-day is going to work for them and I know in my heart that is not because it is being kept secret, but because it isn't being planned out much if at all. Except for the vending machine! Progress!
 
Everyday I thank God for making Jet the producer of Fishtank. I hope he stays in charge of the show forever and endless lulz ensue.

It’s interesting how Fishtank has resulted in a few contestants hungry for e-fame chasing the dragon. It’s popular enough to give them a taste of the fame they so desire for a little bit, only to have that fame completely erased in a matter of days once they get off the show. On top of that, Fish popularity usually peaks when they’re still contestants and have no access to social media, so they can’t even enjoy their popularity to its fullest extent.

It’s like some twilight zone episode. Always wanting to relive the fame you once had but never being able to recapture it. Jon went from being fan favorite #1 to nobody talking about him. Same with Cole, he just can’t help himself and keeps chasing the e-fame dragon. It’s the perfect conditions for attention seeking lolcows.
 
I hope they rig the woods up the wazoo with speakers and there will be The Gay Guy Alert or something equally obnoxious blaring 24/7 just to torture the contestants. I don't really predict any reaction from Tay because she knows not to feed it, Tai might start talking back to TTS, especially if he gets drunk, and there's a high likelihood of Jon and/or Jimmy chimping out in a major way if TTS manages to find some extra sensitive spot.

i know people hate women here, but i want to talk about betty. Didn't she say she was a nudist and pretty much only wore clothes when she wanted to record some video or take pictures or during work and the rest of the time was au naturel? i distinctly remember hearing that

This is a thing she wants to do more of, go to cons and make videos. During the con even furries were saying it was abnormally degenerate and the video speaks for itself. At least the furry she interviewed didn't try to pull the "it's not a sexual thing" card. Not that it makes anything any better. Running into some associated wiggers... says a lot.

i would take everything she says with a grain of salt, but the thing about needing to masturbate every day because of severe mental illness is a bit too pathetic to not be true

the common joke I have seen is that homeless black guy lives blood games every day of his life

There was a back-and-forth in the open between Jimmy and Cole recently that makes me want to see Cole get back on the horse even if it means he fails again.

Cole only seems like he has one mode for dealing with people and can't turn it off and never seems remorseful about it. So seeing him say "I felt like such an asshole" and "I was too scared" is surprisingly humanizing. There were plenty of times he and Jimmy butted heads in the tank but in a non-competitive environment I always figured they had more in common than different. But Cole was filled with that loathing that the severely autistic have for the profoundly retarded, that "you're making us look bad" attitude when they're only a fraction of a degree apart from each other. Under no tension it would be endless talk about ancient history and trains and race statistics, just godawful but at least they're having fun, right.

I still think it's way more likely he would quit early and be a huge bitch but I can't help wanting the long shot amazing thing to happen where Cole comes on and struggles extremely hard and has something to show for it. Unfortunately he's already said no and I think he's right, production probably hates him for saying no.
