Details: The debate will be 90 minutes long and have no commercial breaks. There will be no opening statements, and instead Wallace will dive right in with the first question to Trump. It will be divided into six 15-minute segments that Wallace has chosen. They are:
1) The Trump and Biden records;
2) The Supreme Court;
3) Covid-19;
4) the economy;
5) race and violence in cities;
6) the integrity of the election.

After the debates a poll will be posted on who you think won this first debate. Have lots of fun, keep the commentary fresh as I'm sure we've all heard many of the same lines for months and enjoy the beginning of the end of this presidential election cycle. Just as a reminder, on October 7th there will be a Vice Presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.

So when do opinion polls for debates usually come out or does that not happen?

Andrea Mitchell: "I've been covering debates since 1976, this was a disgrace!"

Go to bed, grandma.

My final conclusion:

(1) Trump made far more good points than I expected. He's clearly gotten better at the live debate format after four years of dealing with hostile press.

(2) Trump interrupted a lot. Whether or not that does more harm than good remains to be seen. I don't think this is going to win many people over who already don't like his blustery personality, and interrupting during the 2 minute no interruptions segment felt like a bit much.

I would compare this to the second debate between Trump and Clinton. Trump hit Biden with low blows, but given that Biden kicked his campaign off by lying about Charlottesville I don't feel particularly sorry for him.

It's over, and all I have now is an incredible hatred for Chris Wallace.

An ungodly annoying faggot who I didn't even know existed less than then two hours ago.

Well that pretty much did go exactly how I expected and Wallace was as much of a fag as I thought he'd be. Trump definitely could've done with less interruptions but him browbeating Biden into walking back all of his progressive pandering was peak :story:
