Details: The debate will be 90 minutes long and have no commercial breaks. There will be no opening statements, and instead Wallace will dive right in with the first question to Trump. It will be divided into six 15-minute segments that Wallace has chosen. They are:
1) The Trump and Biden records;
2) The Supreme Court;
3) Covid-19;
4) the economy;
5) race and violence in cities;
6) the integrity of the election.

After the debates a poll will be posted on who you think won this first debate. Have lots of fun, keep the commentary fresh as I'm sure we've all heard many of the same lines for months and enjoy the beginning of the end of this presidential election cycle. Just as a reminder, on October 7th there will be a Vice Presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.
You can view Joe Biden's megathread here, and Donald Trump's megathread here

Did Biden say "I don't know"?

Well at least he's being honest for once.

Signs of dementia:

  • lack of social awareness – making inappropriate jokes or showing a lack of tact, though some people may become very withdrawn and apathetic
It might be happening. :story:

That's really sad actually. Really "living hell" ish.

Wallace is being a dickhead. Holy shit.

Trump does have a point. The Left want single-payer. Any plan Biden could come up with would be too third-way neolib for them.

Biden looks so lost because he has voices in his head and there's a giant orange man talking over him.

This is 10x better than I could have ever expected. Trump is about to jump off the stage and start punching women in the face.

He did it in 2012 against Ryan, too, in the VP debate. I think it's just a debate strategy

Just tuned in-- did they coach Biden to obnoxiously laugh things off, or am I being too sensitive?
Harris does it too, and I'm sure conservatives do it too. It's when you can't really argue against the point/don't know, so you laugh it off, giving the person the impression that it's not even worth debating. It's a condescending and demoralizing tactic.

My opponent is such a liar that I can't even deign to dignify his lies by telling you what the lies are, you all know what the lies are, the lies of the liar. - J. Robinette Biden

Biden sitting there looking mummified and Trump's quips are making me chortle. Based Donald.
