What Left and Right is differs from country to country, obviously. And what defines both changes over time, its not some static thing. If one side decides to take up the mantle of whatever cause while the other side actively fights against it, that becomes a partisan issue. Scandinavian left isn't American left, and the left of the 1930s or even the 1990s isn't the left of now.
 
How is O'Rourke still relevant? As in the top 1/3rd of the "oh he totes won that" vote? He's like the Liquid Snake in MGS, every 4th level, you think you've killed him...... and then he comes right back.....

The left of now is batshit fucking crazy if the debate says anything. All the government gibs are fucking retarded. Black reperations drive out white voters, single payer medicare for all drives out all those people with private healthcare they want to keep, medicare for illegals drives out citizens from support. The trans and extremist abortion shit drives out moderate dems. What you are left with is 1 disabled afro-latino undocumented trans woman as the only dem voter for 2020. Well that and 50 million corpses, so it will probably still be a close race.

The right can drive populist because it responds to reality and it hits with middle and working class people in key swing states. Woke left populism hits soyboys and trannies exclusively in coastal cities. You can get lefty populism working if you stick to government gibs and fuck the rich but it has to be inclusive, actually inclusive, of the whole of the lower classes against the upper. All the trans shit, anti-gun, black reperations and support of illegals blows that the fuck out because its divisive and pits people against each other over who their taxes go to in groups.

It should be said this debate shows that the American left is more left wing socially than pretty much anywhere else in the god damn world. Abortion for example, is not something where you say no restrictions, up to 9 months, for any reason and also dont forget trans females need abortions too. Look at virtually any abortion laws in the world and it isnt close to that and no one campaigns on that, because its insane and ridiculous.

Most of the nominees had the worst strategy possible. You shouldn’t try to appeal to the .03% in order to obtain votes of ideally 51% (not counting the third party voters). I am positive that most people outside of the major cities care more about having jobs and a decent economy more than appeasing a very small group.

They aren't though. They'd be finished in any other country (and probably impaled for treason in any other era), but they've successfully imported a new voter base that they just promised even more free shit to.
