I actually think this is a big deal - not because it's Firefox or Mr. Robot but because it's a clear example of a big tech company willing to get paid to semi-covertly add some suspicious stuff to consumer's computer that possibly spies on you without your consent (do "Studies" or whatever).
I get that Firefox is failing but they just rewritten their entire engine in their own new programming language in an attempt to save the browser and now they come up with this - even while competing browsers are going the opposite way and giving you ad-blockers instead of giving you ads..? I mean, do you want to go from "failing" to "failed"? because that's how you do it. Get your shit together, FF.
