It's a 'sad day' for the island, says mayor

Special K Fisheries, next to Grand Manan Island's ferry station, was engulfed in flames Monday afternoon.

Island volunteer firefighters, RCMP and Ambulance New Brunswick responded to the fire, which began around 1:30 p.m. Monday.

Officials said they were not aware of any injuries at the plant, which processes lobster, scallops and shrimp.

Grand Manan Mayor Bonnie Morse said the fire will have a significant impact on the island community in the Bay of Fundy.

"I think for everybody, they feel this sickness in the pit of their stomach," Morse said, "this is a landmark in the community that appears to be lost."

Morse said the ferry left Blacks Harbour around 1:30 p.m. and was docked in North Head, but the passengers have not yet been let off.

Could have been a shadow government, NWO plot to fuck with the food supply, could have been some drunk and or high fishery worker throwing a cigarette butt where he shouldn't have. Even if nothing nefarious caused the fire, its still going to suck. Grand Manan is one of those towns that doesn't have much going on, so this place going up in flames might actually impact unemployment quite a bit if it doesn't get up and running again.

This is the perfect time for regular people to get back to learning how to grow/raise their own food. There's mushrooms, there's quail, there's fish. Do your research and don't be afraid to involve friends and family. It will pay off later on especially when society breaks the hell down due to socialists policies.

In North Korea, they were forced to allow people to grow their own food after much, much famines kept on devastating the populace.

They do, but this is 100% not that.
This may have been some freak accident or just plain employee incompetence. It is suspect as fuck though imo. This isn't that big of a plant though. Big for the island, but there's far bigger ones in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, so its not going to put that much of a dent in the supply chain. Lobster season started on the 30th of April, so make of this what you will. Grand Manan is a tiny island off the coast of Canada's Louisiana that in the last couple years lost its air ambulance and only bank.
My 200 IQ schizo take is the federal government is planning to force the people who live on Grand Manan to move to the mainland so they can use the island to house refugees, but my takes are usually abhorrent, so who knows?

Grand Manan do doooo do doo do.
Grand Manan do dooo doo do.
Grand Manan dooo doooo doo do do. Doo doo do. Dooo doo do do doododo doo do do do!
