Like I said, I played the game on Hard as well and the game was still very easy by FE standards. With that said I'll concede on the Normal mode point, I thought I played Conquest on Hard as well but I was wrong. I've played every FE game including the non-localized ones and Fates is by far the most exploitable...its not even close. I wouldn't say its as painfully easy as Sacred Stone but its pretty close.
Conquest isn't the same game as Birthright/Revelations because the map design is different, the set ups are different because the units are different. Especially because Ryoma is arguably one of the best units in the entire franchise because of how much he can abuse the mechanics of his game, at base, better then any other unit doesn't exist in Conquest. In Rev Ryoma dominates over Xander on average because of this, despite them having the same join times. Ryoma absolutely dumpsters Xander, who is the 3rd best unit in Conquest for efficiency because the other two (Camilla and Corrin) can fly and are available earlier and even then Xander needs speedwings to function. No Ryoma changes things because Ryoma is just insane and you can ferry him on a flier to get around his movement issues.

I've played Birthright on Hard, I was bored to tears because the unit quality is so different because units have a real speed stat in that game compared to their enemies. Your most consistent doubling characters in Conquest early game are Selena who has average at best strength so she 3 hits most things (if you're lucky), Niles who can't enemy phase because archer, and Kaze who has even worse strength then the former two. Hoshido classes are generally faster (Ninja and Samurai) then Nohr classes (Outlaw usually who are archers so you can player phase them for free most the time) so having good speed is more important.

I don't care how much you can break the game at the end of it most FEs have front loaded difficulty due to fewer options, bad growth units, prepromotes with great bases join later, less money, bad weapons, etc. I care how broken the game is throughout the entire thing and Awakening is much more abusable right out of the gate because OG Pair up is bonkers and Robin with his Chrom backpack is even more broken because he at base has tomes unlike Corrin who needs to class change to get a none ass 1-2 range option (which involves going into E rank weapons through some of the harder chapters such as chapter 10 or delays getting Paladin!Jakob for the early game if you change in chapter 8. Tome classes are eh without specific scrolls and Ninja's E rank weapons have 2 whole MT) and he grows even faster due to Veteran. This is ignoring Nosferatu tanking among other dumb things not related to pair up that exist in Awakening like Galeforce memes or Sol procing almost every other attack.

So I still don't agree, if you played Awakening and Conquest and you think Awakening is easier and less exploitable then you and I have entirely different standards. Though I still say you can't judge Conquest fairly without playing it on at least hard mode, enemy skills are a bitch sometimes in Conquest especially on Lunatic.

Started playing 3 Houses and jesus christ it's a ripoff of Trails of Cols Steel. Chose Edgelord as starting house due to boobs. Hope the RNG is better (or at least more easy to manipulate) since those empty level ups really sting.

Oh, mate

Also iirc rng is seeded so doing things like divine pulse or reloading wont change the result unless you change more of what happens. So on that note too, dont try and save scum exams

I think he just saw Dorothea and Petra and just said, "Why not?"

Oddly enough, even with Lysithea tanking the average, Golden Deers comes out on top for boob modifier percentage, with Black Eagles coming second and Blue Lions coming last, at least for the main three houses.

One of my irl friends refers to games that deliberately fuck with you to the point of constant inconvenience “fucker’s games”, and I can safely say that Radiant Dawn is the very definition of a fucker’s game. I don’t mean this as a bad thing at all, the game is fucking great, it’s just with a lot of the differences between it and PoR, it’s very funny. A lot of the classes and characters that were good in PoR are really bad in RD, and vice versa. The Dawn Brigade, as everyone knows at this point, sucks ass. I’ve never been hit by more 50 percent chance hits and I’ve never missed more 80 percent chance hits. There’s literal shitpost characters in the form of Meg and Lyre. This isn’t criticism, the insanity of this game is very very fun, but it’s still worth noting.

With that being said, once I’m done with RD (just started Part 4) my plan for the next FE I’m gonna play is either Sacred Stones or Echoes. Is there anything I should know before starting those?

When you start promoting villagers the more optimal builds I've seen goes as follows:
Tobin- mage for Excalibur. It's a spell that does high crit and high accuracy.
Gray- mercenary
Kliff- archer
Faye- cleric for physic. It's possible for her to be the only physic user on Alm's route since Silque can't learn it and Tatiana is optional.

You don't need to do it like this but I find this one the most convenient.

If you want to increase the difficulty, you can play for the Blitzekrige achievement. It's an achievement where you finish the game under a certain amount of turns.

DLC gives you three villager pitchforks which is a reclassing item that restarts anyone except Alm and Celica back to a villager. If you intend to reclass someone into a mage I recommend looking up SF spell list. A lot of units, especially female units for whatever reason, will only learn fire and thunder. These are all free alongside a Talisman and a Taurus Shard.

Dread Fighters have this unique ability to reclass back into a villager and can do this infinitely as long as you're in the Mercenary line.

I'll edit more later if I can think of any.

Also, Echoes is very different to all other FE, from the maps and how it expects you to approach tactics. My main points are:
- you have Mila's Turnwheel, which is the same as TH's Divine Pulse
- there are opportunities to revive dead allies
- No durability and weapons dont need to be equipped, but you can only equip a weapon OR a piece of equipment
- Grinding is possible but not worth it
- You can recruit Faye and Kliff to Celica's side
- Enemies are often infinitely spawning. So turtle tactics stop working. Dont worry about being agressive though, your units are usually tough

The only thing you need to watch out for in SoV is getting poisoned or paralyzed, along with double checking your math when you're up against a mage.

I'm still not sure what's more BS, reinforcements moving same turn or Witches teleporting in and gangraping Clive no matter what formation you try

From what I understand, if you have a cluster of units together the witches won't teleport inside.

But I never had much of an issue with witches.

Regarding Fates, I'm in the camp that thinks that, while the game mechanics are actually really solid, the game just isn't all that fun to play. Birthright and Revelations are collectively boring and terrible together, and while Conquest has solid gameplay, too many of the maps are far too gimmicky and too many of the enemy armies are stacked against your own for me to find it a rewarding experience to play through. The fact that you don't really have the same utility the Hoshidan army has means you're put under the pressure from gameplay that you yourself aren't generally able to take advantage of. There's good maps, goodness there are some amazing maps in Conquest, but generally I find it too frustrating to call a rewarding gameplay experience.

It's a bit refreshing that "Hard" mode in a Fire Emblem game is actually difficult though.

I mean, he didn't say it were Edelgard's boobs he went with the Eagles. ;)

While I can't play 3H due to no Switch, I'd pick Bloo Lions due to Mercedes. I dunno what it is about her, but i waifu'd her hard.

It's more that you can get Doro, Petra and Mercie on any route so it matters less.
Hell, going black eagles locks you out of Hilda's Hildas, aside from one chance late on
