I always find it funny how magic worked in older Fire Emblems.

Speaking of the new release of the first Fire Emblem, why the hell does Gotoh have 10 Strength when Magic did not calculate Strength into the damage formula for magic attacks?

Add that with the Resistance of enemy units most likely being next to 0 if not that, magic units would be busted if they weren't so squishy.

I also find it amazing how in Gaiden and Shadows of Valentia how archers are surprisingly God-tier due to their huge range which is not hurt by the Killer Bow Weapon Art giving a Brave effect along with high critical and range.

Mages have always been glass cannons. It's just that Fates came up with a few skills and classes to counter them.

And archer in SoV is a little bit on the overrated side once you did the grinding for the weapon skills. But at the end of the day, it still fills the role of weakening a priority target that can't seldom fight back. And it breaks the game if you're an Sniper with the Longbow.

Archer's are also stupidly overrated in OG Gaiden because out of the 2 natural archers you get, Python can't hit shit even if his life depends on it, and Leon does crap damage even for a chip damage dealer. And while you could make Gray, Tobin and Atlas into Archers (And Kliff too but why would you when he learns some of the best spells in the game), they are all better off as either Mercenaries or Cavaliers. (But yeah, i agree about Echoes fixing archers quite a lot thanks to combat skills, even if you do have to grind them out)

I have been having trouble with Fire Emblem Sacred Stone's Creature Campaign Hard Mode and cannot get past Floor 7 with the gang being surrounded and if you are unlucky, you have 3 snipers from enemy lines to deal with.

One of my run enders is dealing with the Lamia-like enemies with Stone and I want to know what stats I need to raise to lower their hit rates for Stone.

I hate being RNG screwed in such a run and would like to unlock Lyon if possible.
Should I focus on Speed,Res and Luck to increase my odds?

Do your units have supports? Thats one way to make your units dodgier, the FE wiki has a chart that shows what different support affinities grant to them and their partners. For avoidance you'd want to go for anything but wind and light affinity.

Would recommend on speed to focus on but it can vary from unit to unit.

Yeah. I think the only one I have is Cormag and either Seth or Gerik. Cormag and Seth are my MVPs outside of Riev and Moulder thanks to their Slayer abilities. I do wonder what the aggression AI would be for said map as I could wait it out a bit on some parts of the map to slowly clean up the more dangerous enemies first before going into the fray.

You should use Ewan/Knoll as summoners to bait out the gorgons stones/bolting spells.
You can use restore to heal any status effects btw

Ayup. Summoner!Knoll is a huge lifesaver because he can send out critters and distract the enemy enough for the rest to go on the attack.

Also, if you can get Knoll to level B in Staves? Do it and give him a Physic. The guy will LITERALLY be able to heal charas from the other side of the screen, and that saved my charas' asses way too many times at Endgame. It'll take you quite a while to do it, but at least consider it.

Yeah.

I kinda spread out my troops in that level for whatever reason. I was unsure of the enemy AI being aggressive or not.

I will simplify a lot but in general the Ai works like that:

Most ennemies in fe8 are agro dependent and immobile.
You move in their range, they come to you and attack.
Then depending on turns or you position, they might rush you.

A ennemy will mostly attack in that order:
1.A unit they can kill
2.A unit that can't counter
3.The unit they deal the most damage to.

The same could be said about an lot of FE games, tbh. Although, Conquest has some sneaky shit with the ninjas. But 80% of the time, it's mostly baiting a one or two with an Knight or some other tank, slaughtering their buddies on the next turn, and getting everyone into a defensive formation for the second wave on your next turn.

Off-topic but it is weird seeing Goosephone as someone who is interested in Christory.

I saw her comment on the latest Geno Samuel Documentary episode.
