Lamia, a sword master miniboss from chapter 4 of FE4. She leads an all female mercenary group.
Oddly enough Dithorba, another random miniboss from the same chapter got into heroes a few years ago.
Dithorba is somewhat notable as she is also the mother of a character in Thracia. That said, the most notable miniboss from that chapter was Pamela, who was given a lot of prominence in the manga as well. The fact that she hasn't been used yet is somewhat surprising.

Yeah its strange that Pamela never got in, honestly I doubt it will happen but I would like to see Ishtor get into Heroes. He is technically important but FE4 doesn't do much with him. I don't play Heroes but I enjoy the small amount of extra lore given to minor characters.

Come on IS, I saw you adding Gromell.
This guy (or any of his clones) needs to be in already.

Update: I got Mist but I killed Rolf in the same chapter and feel a little bad about it.

I could've replayed the level so that I didn't lose him, but I don't have unlimited time on my hands. I'll cut my losses and move on.
Yeah, you won't be having any archers unless you promote Boyd. But this isn't exactly a dealbreaker in PoR. All you really need is an mage to replace Rolf if you're that paranoid.

Technically, Oscar can unlock bows after promotion, and it can even be used to perform a triangle attack alongside Boyd and Rolf, but the steps needed to pull it off is already more trouble than it's worth (especially since his Rolf is dead) and there are better weapons to give Oscar than a bow. The real issue is that you're not getting Shinon now since Rolf needs to talk to him as part of the recruitment process.

Astrid is also a bow-user.

Update: I have Astrid

I thought the ship battle level was easy for the most part so I feel asleep at the wheel and let a crow enter the defending point, so I had to start the level all over again. But, I didn't recruit Gatrie and Astrid on my first playthrough of the level, so I guess that's a silver lining for wasting forty minutes of my life.

Update:

I thought the game was getting a little too easy, so I handicapped myself on Chapter 19 and benched Jill. I lost Tormod and Marcia (My favorite unit) as a result. Sucks, but what can you do.

What's the drama between Kratos and Speedwinghere? I saw the video from Speedwing about Solo-runs being lazy nontent, and not a challenge run. he was pretty blatant about who he was responding to without saying his name but that this person had been talking trash. I think Kratos' voice and cadence is literally unlistenable, but on his channel I didn't see any callout posts.

Well, after all that time, all those mages killed, all those paladins abused, I finally beat Path of Radiance.

Here's a review

What I liked:
- General gameplay loop was enjoyable, not incredible, but enjoyable
- The story involving Ike and his family was really well done. I loved the dialogue between Mist and Ike after Greil died and twist involving their mom was great. That part ties into the other aspect of the story I liked in the game, which was the vast political conspiracy that was unraveled throughout. It gave the story a grand stature that I expect out of RPGs.
- Some of the characters were really good and I enjoyed engaing with their supports (Marcia, Kieran, Haar, Reyson, Oscar)
- The gamble mechanic was good as something just for fun. No real reason you would ever rely on it, especially late game, but it was fun.
- The shove mechanic gave the gameplay a good amount of depth to it.
- Level design had some good peaks. My personal favorite was chapter nineteen, I enjoyed having to manuever my units away from not just the bows, but Naesala, and the fact that you have to get one of the bird tribe members to talk to him otherwise he would be completely unstoppable was good.
- The Black Knight, even though I got spoiled on who he is.
- Forgining broken javelins.

What I didn't like:
- I don't get the hype around Soren, but I killed him early on, so he probably had something well written that I just completely missed out on. He just seemed like a character designed to give the game appeal to people who formulate their politics around video games and "quotes that go hard".
-The elements of the story which revolve around stopping heckin' racism. The funniest that happened to me while playing this game was that I got Tormod killed by a member of the bird tribe in chapter nineteen. To draw a historical parallel, it would be like if one of the white guys who supported the ZANU was killed by a random black guy the Rhodesian army just happened to have on duty that day.
-Certain units becoming window dressing. Yeah I know, "Well why didn't you use all your units to get the supports". Because Paladins and Flying Knights were so broken throughout the game that I didn't want to handicap myself. It's not like Mia or Makalov or Muarim would be more useful on a particular level than Oscar or Kieran or Tanith. The good units, tend to be good throughout all levels of the game. But even in a game where character development is locked behind the support system, it was off putting when certain characters just become completely irrelevant to the main story and get no dialogue in any important scene. Take Boyd for instance, in the beginning him and Ike have a good back and forth relationship in the main story scenes, but as the story progesses, he gets nothing to do. We hear from Bastian, Lucia, and Geoffrey all the time after they're recruited, so would it have killed the devs just to give Boyd one thing to say near the end of the game. He was also fighting this war for nearly a year. The complete lack of acknowledgement when a unit dies is also really dumb to me. The one excpetion to this rule is Makalov's C support with Astrid, but that was it.
-The end game maps are pretty samey and don't have a ton of gravitas to them. The final level is just a generic castle. Even Pokemon has it so that their final set pieces have a distinctive look to them.

I like JRPGs, so I liked this game, but I don't know if I would ever play another Fire Emblem game after this. If I would I'm torn between Radiant Dawn and Geneaology of the Holy War.

As a head's up, don't go into Radian Dawn expecting a sequel to PoR. That's what it is, but much of it is window dressing; the difficulty is radically different, the story is far more ambitious, and there's more than a few retarded retcons that undermine the first game. It's a good Fire Emblem game but it's not something I would recommend to people who aren't already big FE fans.

Genealogy also plays significantly differently from PoR and is harder, but it's not going to go against your expectations in the way that Radiant Dawn would. It's story is also more realized and less rushed (and has less filler).

This was actually the norm for FE games; a unit joins, has their one moment in the spotlight, and then they're relegated to the sidelines with a few notable exceptions. Path of Radiance was actually a significant change in that regard because it was IS's first big effort to try to tie the minor units more into the flow of the story and give them character outside of supports. The game that's probably done that aspect best is Shadows of Valentia.

Doesn't Radiant Dawn try to do a Thracia by having a ragtag group of undersupplied rebels? I don't know if it does it as well though.

I like Soren for how blundt and pragmatic he is but across both games he isn't actually the plot important character his fans make him out to be.
I doubt he would blow you away but he can be funny for largely unintended reasons. He also has a fun dynamic with other characters that comes up in some scenes throughout the story and base conversations.

Hey, gonna sound weird but I love TRPGs and have never played a Fire Emblem before.

What ones would you guys personally recommend? Ive heard good things about Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn but would like some more opinions honestly.
