Under his leadership, nobles were persuaded that Relics and Crests were not necessary as they previously thought."
Your disdain for the character does not change reality.
Another ending discussing the same events:

the new Margrave Gautier was able to improve relations with the Sreng people, and thereby convince the local nobles that Relics and Crests were no longer an absolute requirement for survival.

Why every Noble everywhere would care about the Sreng Resolution is not reasonable and the ending you cite is almost identical across two different wives so it was obviously a bashed out boilerplate ending.

Edit (because I doubt I’ll get a reply if I haven’t yet): his family’s territory is also the one noted for viewing Crests as ‘necessary for survival’. Because of the Sreng. Everywhere else they’re about power and prestige. So the very diction “necessary” and “survival” further narrows it to his own sphere of influence. Crests otherwise, especially in the Empire, are about Status.

I’m halfway through Gaiden and still nobody can hit for shit. The battles end up taking like two to three times as long because of how fucking hard it is to get hits.
Terrain hit/avoid rates in Gaiden is OP as shit. Make sure you aren't trying to fight enemies on healing tiles/forests/graveyard crosses for example but do make effort to potentially dodgetank them on those tiles on your end.

Also kind of curious who you focus on on both Alm and Celica's parties in terms of EXP gain?

Nah this has nothing to do with terrain. I am not allowing enemies on favorable tiles. This is just poor hit to begin with. I don’t think anyone has a 100 hit except for a couple mages with Excalibur.

I’m on Act 3 and pretty much everyone is promoted at this point.

Oh, guessing you're just mad unlucky with hit rates then.

Dread Fighters and Falcoknights should make things a lot more smoother for you, as is Jenny with Holy Ring for free physic usage every turn on Celica's side and Silk on Alm's side with warp and Dread Fighter summon spam at this point.

I think the worst part about the Slithers is that Cleobulus/Cornelia really is an actually competent schemer that basically completely broke the Kingdom over the course of decades and all their backstory behavior is in line with this...

But then in the actual game the rest including their supreme leader are all cackling cartoon villains that are bumbling and incompetent and are packed up in every route without any real issue.

It feels very schizophrenic. Probably because the game is so blatantly unfinished.

Anyway, while we're LARPing as Edeltards, I've always wondered how they address Hanneman? The guy who Rhea employs and funds who makes no bones about hating Crests and wanting to replicate them for all through technology because of his (Imperial society inflicted) trauma. And who in his endings succeeds in his goal all without Edelgard's destructive, bloody, horrible war.

Then again, these are the same people who mass hallucinated that the Central Church was anti-LGBT so I guess they'd just ignore or make up anything to make Rhea look bad.

Once again I will complain that they literally get handled in a post game text box in crimson flower and that’s the worst story decision any fire emblem game has ever made.

You defeated Rhea, and the primary antagonists make absolutely ZERO on screen effort to take advantage of you defeating their ancient enemy for them. The exact situation where they should be at their most interesting, the exact situation where Nemesis should charge the surface, where Solon should start throwing Nukes at everything, where everything should happen…. Nothing at all. They just die offscreen.

Speaking of which: who the fuck is Myson?
He reminded me of that one fucknut from Soul Hacker 2 - the red haired dude - who showed up late late late game out of nowhere and he is supposedly that big shot THEN fucked off immediately with no elaboration whatsoever.

Is Myson a mole or just a human mole ally? My impression was always the latter but at the same time, why wouldn’t they just write him as a mole.

Same. That is why I dislike the explanation because, in that case, we just coincidentally ran across more freaks than normal slitherers.

And Myson had stronger magic than they did.
Offensive magic anyway.

Found these two in my closet from way back. Even after all these years they remain the true ship.

I’m so disappointed that nobody posted in this thread or we lost all the data between Fates reveal and Shadows of Valentina’s launch. I know Null had to shut the shop down briefly, but I really wanted to read 2015 era fates discourse.

Commit this man for his own good.
