Wasn't it the same with Roy and that terrible prepromote? I think Cecilia was her name. Of course that pairing requires using a terrible prepromoted Valkyrie who forcibly deploys herself on one of the worst desert chapters in any of the games I've played. No, I'm not bitter, why do you ask?
I actually really like Cecilia, she just makes a terrible first impression.
Her assets as a unit are her being mounted and her high staff rank and while her combat isn't as stellar she is by no means useless.

It's just her join chapter really skews many people's view on her.

As for her support with Roy, I never really read it, I am vaguely aware she was a teacher of his or something?
Its kind of a trope in JRPGs to let you do this kind of pairing, male student and female teacher.

Tellius seems to attract the progressive folks due to it's anti-racism plot with the Laguz.
And the fantasy nigger, don't forget... Tellius was definitely the first to do the post-modern shuffle. Half-breeds, niggers, furries, muh slavery, muh racism... it's all there. After that it'd be Awakening, with bunny furries, and sub-saharan niggers somehow existing in the wintery north.
Oh a bit of spoilers, he does: In the ending segment, he tells Nanna that after the war, he will look for Lachesis (Nanna's mother) to ask her directly the hand of her daughter. It's pretty adorable, even if it comes out of nowhere lol
And Lachesis was within his grasp in the Manster dungeon... this theory is too specific and interesting not to prescribe to, and Ayra is too hot to be killed.

Ike: The person you're looking for.
Sothe: Yeah. I mean, we're not related by blood or anything, but...we're definitely family.
-Sothe, describing his future wife.
Further proof that Micky was probably an outright retcon instead of someone always intended to be added as she was. Other points include Ashnard gloating about being the one responsible for instigating the Serenes massacre and no mention being made of Sanaki having had any siblings when her parents were killed or not being able to hear the goddess. Nevermind the disparity in age between Sanaki and Micaiah against the supposed timeline of events means that Micaiah should be old enough to have no excuse for not knowing she's royalty.

I don't think being hot for teacher is exclusive to the Japanese.

Ylisse butchering Archanaea's geography with no explanation is one of Awakening's worst crimes, but given that Basilio and Flavia are the only swarthiods in the game and other Feroxi like Raimi, Gregor and Olivia all look like everyone else and Ferox can even attract Chon'sin like Lon'qu, I'm guessing the implication was that Basilio and Flavia were foreigners who worked their way up to the top. It still raises questions about where they came from that never get answered because Awakening's worldbuilding is the weakest part of its writing but it's still better than Duscur being to the frozen north of Faerghus and its people transparently only having the phenotype they do for a ham-fisted racism allegory that doesn't even make sense.

As for her support with Roy, I never really read it, I am vaguely aware she was a teacher of his or something?

Correct, she was his teacher in tactics before Bern's assault reached Lycia.
As for their support conversations it's basically as this:

C: Cecilia asking Roy for instructions and him still processing that she's under his command now, Cecilia reminding him that a good leader doesn't have time to ponder over statuses.

B: Cecilia suggesting Roy should rest when she notices he's tired, but he insists on moving onwards since time's not on their side and to aid the weak, over which she's impressed.

A: Roy wondering what Cecilia's going to do after the war, over which she states she's going back to Etruria to rebuild, and he asks if she could teach him again like in Ostia (the in-game tutorial sequence) over which she declines, stating he's far past that now and needs to have confidence, but will always offer her aid to him in times of need.

It really is one of those supports that has almost no room for romantic subtext out of the ones that feature Roy talking to a person with a vagina, so I think IS rushed to include those 'married Roy' epilogues for some of the characters. Even Thany/Shanna has more implications for actual romantic care in her support dialogue with Roy.

As for Cecilia as a unit, yeah she's not that bad despite her poor joining conditions. She has average base stats that besides HP a lot of them just barely reach over the double digit mark and in terms of offense potential Lilina easily outclasses her if you invest in her, but a major edge Cecilia has in her favor is being on a horse for ferrybot purposes. She's a nice filler unit if you need a decent staffbot to put Recover and Restore staves on and to chip in with magic offense.

I mean, Sothe was raised by Micaiah, Haar iirc just worked for Jill's dad.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I think its still wild that that was one of the only supports with an ending, but Miciah and Sothe always struck me as way creepier.

From the recruit convo for Sothe in PoR:

Ike: The person you're looking for.
Sothe: Yeah. I mean, we're not related by blood or anything, but...we're definitely family.
-Sothe, describing his future wife.

Between that and all the war-crimes, I'm kind of surprised people thought that Conquest was the first Fire Emblem game that let you play as the villain.
I think it’s because you’re a resistance group in RD (right?) so people become dumb.

For example— a lot of 3H discourse is people debating on if Adrestia or Faerghus is the real underdog or has the better grievance. Regardless of how you feel about them that is a silly way to decide what side you like. “No my side is more raped.”

Well, all it boils down to is that people are protecting their tankie beliefs unto Edelgard and Dimitri whining about his mental health problems (with Felix and you repeatedly telling him to get his shit together). It's not like the writers had an chance at making something great out of this without drastically changing the cast.

Rosado being a trans woman or getting 100% gender flipped completely misses the point of his character and that of the typical "kind but outspoken and super beautiful crossdressers " dudes found in so many FE games, damn it. Said point being that these charas are cis guys who look super girly, but that doesn't automatically make them women: that would make their existence moot and, IMO, conform to these gender stereotypes that SJW's supposedly want to smash and destroy. "Oh, but that guy's not perfectly manly? HE'S A WOMAN! WAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Gotta love how OP posted that to the forum and almost everyone politely told them "LOL, NOPE", tho. xD

Why is the FE fanbase full of so many weebs
Because it's Gundam with swords and magic instead of robots.
and troons?
Because they put themselves everywhere they can. They represent like 7/10ths of a percent of the global population so they pretend to hold multiple interests to appear like a larger portion of the population than they are.
Why can’t I like a video game series that has a normal fanbase for once?
Because games like that suck ass. You wanna play Halo Infinite or Apex or some shit? Soulless garbage, hyper-optimized to drain your time and bank account $10 at a time through psychological manipulation? Be my guest.
