Someone actually suggested Joon the King make a doc on him a few months ago.

I honestly hope Joon does (as unlikely as it is). Joon's a decent documentarian and the amount of seethe from the usual suspects over a widely circulated video exonerating Mangs and pointing out their gayops would be kino.
Is there all that much evidence out there? Mangs said that "something" happened. As to what it was, and how bad it was, nobody can really say. All you can really say is that it's more complicated than it seems. People cozied up to him because he was popular, and tried to cut him loose at the first sign of trouble. A lot of people coordinated the whole social media outrage. But, that still doesn't mean that "nothing happened".

That being said, I choose to continue to support him because, without giving away too much incriminating evidence. I spent a lot of time in the old communities he used to run. I can't count the number of times he'd impress me with his insight. My own impression of him is that he's a fundamentally good person who, at one time, had a few major character flaws, and I choose to rely on my own impression of a person over what other people tell me about them.

I too believe that something did happen yet there is enough circumstances for me to doubt it was anything severe.
She did agree to share a room with him, the two had fun together at the con and both were drunk.

What I believe happened and what the extent of it is, is that he shared a bed with her and probably spooned her or something, maybe grabbed a boob.
Anything more than that and even a whore like her would have at least told the others about it.

Without a doubt that is a shitty thing to do regardless, it's just the way this incident was weaponized against him that erodes any amount of sympathy I might've had for Goosaphone.

Besides, Mangs did not in fact "get away with it", he lost basically all of Mekkah's subscribers, a lot of "friends" and he has faced ridicule and threats to boot.
He is basically the only online persona I believe actually did try to kill themselves and only didn't because of the intervention of a friend (In Mangs' case Panzergraf).

Some may say it was deserved and they may be right, I say it was enough of a punishment and all parties should now be better off, separated.

And while Mangs is indeed better off now the other faggots are not and still wish for Mangs to "take accountability".
What exactly does taking accountability entail?
I don't fucking know, nobody seems to be able to answer.

Even if Mangs did touch a boob and dryhumped her what was he supposed to do to attone?
You know, it really says an lot how she didn't press any charges against him. Or tried to pursue any legal action.

But hey, they were both drunk, so chances are that it'll be laughed out of court, anyways

According to my favorite sperg, it means: Stop being an content creator and being sent to prison, at the bare minimum.

But hey, an sizeable portion of the fanbase is autistic.

I genuinely forget that this entire drama ever happened until its brought up again. The worst case of the accusers being so much worse than the guy they're accusing I've ever seen.

Since we're on the topic of Mangs I might as well share a little thoughts on Rebellion Saga since I finished it recently:
Spoilering out of respect since its new
- One of the key takeaways is that its much shorter than Andaron, now being 10 chapters (about 1/3 of Andaron) along with occasional base camps and a few unlockable extra chapters. I actually liked the huge scope of Andaron but I can respect this approach too since you're given a lot of tools and units to experiment with and this can make for plenty of replay potential which I think rarely exists in hacks, at least to this degree.
- I love the huge roster and I'm again impressed by how many new idea they put in like Garant and his reversed devil weapon but I think they made the units a bit too strong? I played on hard but I found that units very commonly one rounded whatever they were up against and even without scrolls they tend to level up very well and especially fast too. I have yet to see Lunatic though so I'll hold my breath a little here. Its worth mentioning however that deployment slots feel very limited and this hack really showers you in units.
- Speaking of the roster, the fans absolutely influenced this. Galahad I can understand but Astrid (the shaman from the Andaron viking nation, not Makalov's lobotomized girlfriend) and Ashe absolutely came in through fan reception. I don't mind this though, I liked them all too.
- The maps were good, lots of experimental ideas and plenty of gameplay/story integration which I always appreciate. They eased down a lot on reinforcements too.
- Gideon as a protagonist I actually liked more than Baudimon and his death felt more like a gut punch despite having an ever bigger death flag on him. The entire Holtmeier Purge was brutal after I expected that the Rebellion exclusive characters would just die together in a cutscene. I will say though that chapter 10 itself was too easy since the Steel knights can fend off so many enemies for so long. I suppose it is difficult to balance a chapter where your units will gradually die off, one by one.

Overall I had a really fun time even if I wished this had maybe just a bit more regular chapters.
I've really grown to like the setting on Andaron and wouldn't even blame Mangs for milking it if he wanted to make another installment. The entire dynamic with the noble houses is just really cool.

I like looking at stupid shit on the FE subreddit, and every single time there's an 'FE Youtuber' or 'Rom hack' thread - which is basically monthly - some clueless goober, or more likely some falseflagging jannoid on a moral crusade, gets their posts deleted bringing up Mangs or his hacks.
It's kinda scary honestly. I remember seeing some Andaron Saga gameplay on YouTube semi-recently and was like "Oh, that's cool, I should check it out later". And a day later, a bunch of reddit tier fetubers got on my recommendation with videos being posted today showing "THE BEST FE ROMHACKS EVER!!!" and none of them has ever mentioned Andaron or Mangs in any shape or form whatsoever...

I've participated in a lot of internet communities, but none of them has ever reached this level of taboo before. I'd rather people call me a retard neonazi who beats women for fun because I said that I enjoyed Eggman's romhacks, rather than being outright silenced.

I don't even like Mangs that much, and I can see why people would treat him like Satan, even if you ignore the whole twitter drama. But neither his fans or haters can even mention him without taking the ban hammer.

It sucks to be the straightest FE YouTuber, objectively.

Egghead's aside, what other recent solid ROM hacks are out there? Given what I've seen from Mangs's review streams, most solo devs aren't pumping out a gem within a short time frame.

Andaron Saga looks interesting. Can someone link me to the rom? Mangs "Tutorial" is just "JUST MY DISCORD!" and I don't want to do that to download a file.
Also, any good fe ds romhacks? the gba games are fine since you can just speed up enemy phase, but being able to skip it entirely in the ds is just better.

Here's both. I doubt the DS FEs will ever get any hacks besides FE12's translation patch because the GBA hacking tools are just more developed and the DS FEs just look ugly. Rebellion Saga already added this feature to press L to speed up animations so you don't have to use emulator speed ups so it's only a matter of time before they add press start to skip enemy phase in GBA.

I've actually been wanting to make a mirror of the rom and some helpful discord-exclusive documents for a while, but I kept putting it off because it kept getting small updates. I'll probably make one for Rebellion Saga later too when the updates slow down (some of the PH mode chapters are still getting reworked for fucks sake, makes me not even care anymore about the lunatic all challenges run I almost finished)

This version from November 2024 includes some bugfixes, cut supports, and other things, as well as another version of the rom that guarantees secret events and disables the flags of shame (invisible turncount requirement for bonus epilogue content.) It might be slightly incongruent with some of the included documentation, but I've included them anyway just to be thorough.

Thank you for not making it a zip bomb :)

I'm thinking Prime 4 will be a sumul-release with the switch and whatever comes after. The same way Breath of the Wild was. It only makes sense to me to pad out the launch lineup with a big release to act as a system seller.
I was right.

I got a rom of Berwick Saga after learning about what eventually happened to Kaga. How badly will the game destroy me? It looks unbelievable complex.

Kind of cringe to bring shitty, retard FEtube drama. But Goosaphone showed up in my for you tab on X.

Mind you, I don't follow anything vidya nor anime related, just accounts that post pictures of cats and dogs.

What stood out to me is that she had the yellow checkmark. What fucking company is sponsoring this irrelevant whore?

Funny because it's always that KrashBoomBang retard that tries to gatekeep the hacks on other websites. People that aren't aware of the drama go to these places like Reddit and say "Hey, has anyone played Andaron/Rebellion Saga?" And without fail he jannies the post and posts his infographic which plugs his own shitty hack right at the top. He's tried to similarly gatekeep Dark Lord and the Maiden of Light because it was a /feg/ hack.

That is such blatant horseshit. I'm admittedly not fresh on dlatmol at all, but I don't remember anything feeling out of line of it's own tone and setting, or even out of line compared to actual GBAFE's writing. I don't think dlatmol has any sexual elements or even swearing in it, which even darling child Vision Quest couldn't resist. He's so obviously just butthurt about Dindu. That even comes up on the FEU page.

dlatmol2.webp dlatmol3.webp

If you, the reader, aren't in the know about dlatmol, Dindu is a one-off filler boss.

dindu.webp

He's just Nick Fury. You can find way more racist caricatures of Dindus than this in the bulk of FEU hacks; I'm not gonna post Stealiqua again. You mouse over Dindu and it says "One of Maximillian's men. Utterly lacking in empathy." You fight him, he says "Welcome to your doom," he dies, and then says "Ahhh... You're dead... It's too late... You fell for it... Ahehehehehe..." and that's it for Dindu. If that's the metric for "pretty obviously written by a 4channer" then, yeah, that's way better than the opposite "pretty obviously written by an FEUer" like the heckin wholesome polycules in The Morrow's Gayass Country.

I see Eligor's Spear is also at the bottom of that redditor's list, which I'm sure has nothing to do with Eligor's dev consenting to Mangs streaming the game that he worked very hard on for years, as opposed to having a tranny tantrum about it.

It's been a hot while but I brought up Dlatmol some time ago in this thread and aside from Dindu there was also like one other specific chapter where your advisor character in the preparations menu says something along the lines of "Biiiiiiig oooooopen maaaaaps, give me your (You)s" and that's the only other 4chan or /feg/ thing I could think of. It's still extremely tame overall.
The only "sexual" thing I can think of meanwhile is the white haired mage general being a paired ending option for the playable avatar when she is also his half sister.

I don't mean to sound like a prude though, I enjoyed the hack a lot and CrashBoomBang is a giant chode.

Dark Deity 2 has launched on Steam, and to my utter shock actually seems to be well received:
DoubleD.webp

Granted, only about a third of the reviews from the original so far, but it's sitting at a 95% which the original never had either. I've not followed it's development too closely since I was expecting a dumpster fire or, at best, quiet mediocrity, so seeing this actually has me mildly intrigued. Apparently the writing is somehow worse than the original, so I may have to actually take one for the team and MST3K my way through it for the next time I dump a bunch of SRPG reviews.

I liked the first one. But, I had to convert a bunch of music I had on hand to .ogg files and replace what was already there.

A lot of it came from this album if you're curious.
