So apparently another year and another FE4 cope.

Honestly I am at the point where I am iffy on Nintendo delivering it cause FE4 kinda makes it hard for localizers to not butcher the game.

I honestly doubt if it'll happen within the next year or two. My money is on an completely new entry that'll probably be something as retarded as Engage.
Engage kinda fucked over the community. Which honestly they deserve to be honest. Most of the FE videos I see these days are of upstarts and focus more on gameplay mechanics and history of the games and how they played.

I mean after seeing how badly butchered the localization was for Engage that made these characters worse,I don't know if IS feels comfortable with a new game.

I keep seeing claims about a terrible localization but the only proof I've seen is that the romances are more friendly. Is there a list of changes or something that I can look at?

I don't trust them with shit like the Game of Thrones incest as well as the Loptyrian Tunnel Child Hunts.

Honestly the more I think about the Loptyrians and their actions throughout Jugdral, the more I understand why there were witch hunts to cull their numbers.

Every single support conversation about anything remotely gendered in the Japanese script is changed to be about something completely different in the international version.

Hey, look! They've lasted an little bit longer than an month before behind hit with the retard stick

Since I'm reminded this thread exists, can I mention how incredibly weird the hate campaign towards Engage feels?
The game has been on my mind a lot lately since I started maddening for the first time recently and while I wish it didn't force set growths I'm still having a good time. I just got done with chapter 17 yesterday and while it was a huge struggle it also felt incredibly satisfying to finish. Its difficult but fair which you cannot take for granted with the highest difficulties in FE usually and systems like forges, tonics, engravings and emblems allow players to patch up units nicely.
Don't get me wrong, I still have plenty of issues but all the whining about this game feels so strange and overblown in a way I have never seen about any entry in the series.

i don't think they will, go that far but i can totally see them turning someone like Ayra or Brigid into an annoying girllboss type
Ayra I'm guessing will stay stern and dutiful but I could totally see them doing that with Brigid or Larcei.

Yeah, but it's mostly about the usual bullshit with an simplified plot propping it up. It's hardly anything new for the series, if you think about it

My stance on Engage is very simple - the gameplay itself is fine. It's hard to fuck up what's essentially Anime Chess, they added enough details to dig into that my autism is satisfied, and the game can definitely fuck you on higher difficulties if you let it.

Its the story and the localization that makes me want to suck-start a shotgun rather than commit to a second playthrough - the sooner localizers are replaced by AI the better...

Basically where I am. It's one of the better tactics games out there. But everyone talks like they've been lobotomized. Somehow every Super Robot Wars game is more coherently written.

When a game series with stories based on crossovers and fixfics is more coherent than your isolated world and lore......you have issues.

And yes I know the Rings are based off past Fire Emblem Series but those events are long gone and ultimately feel like window dressing plot-wise as far as those events and how they affect the plot of the main game are concerned.
